1) Poland's popular music act of the 1990s. The band was founded in Szczecin, Poland in 1992 by guitarist Piotr Banach and charismatic lead singer Kasia Nosowska.
Although Hey sometimes described themselves as Poland's first grunge band, their melodic, guitar-driven rock and eclectic appearance owed more to New Wave and heavy metal influences; their first three albums contained songs in both Polish and English. During the band's mid-1990s heyday, they sold out stadiums throughout Poland, and attempted to break into the English-language market with a series of concerts overseas and an English version of their 1995 album. When this failed to arouse interest, the band began to write in Polish only, and gradually adopted a harder-edged, more industrial-influenced sound.
2) A Korean female singer who had a hit called "Je t'aime", recorded in both Korean and French. She has released three albums so far, her latest being recorded in 2008. Little is known about the Korean Hey, but she is still active and promoting the latest EP. See 해이.
3) Only German project of heyrec label (see [[http://heyrec.org]]) is represented at Last.fm with its tune of "Hey - Sans Toi".
4) Japanese video game developer, Shohei Yuki (ユキ ショウヘイ). He composed FM Synth music for his games. Capitalization of the name for this artist is 'HEY'.

Hey Lyrics

Kromki chleba dwie
Okruchy,ryżu garść
Na parapecie kładę
Na lampie siedzi mały wróbel
Na oko-same pióra i kości
Zwęszyło ucztę kilka tłustych mew
Bo nienawidzę mew
W tym czasie wróbel z głodu zdycha
Spada pożera go sąsiada kot
Nie żebym lubiła ptaki
Ja o ptakach nawet nie myślę
Po prostu wzruszył mnie ten mały
Naprawdę chciałam dobrze
The lyrics of Hey's song Sio describe a scene of the singer holding two slices of bread and a handful of rice, and placing them on a windowsill. A small sparrow perches on the lamp nearby, with only feathers and bones visible in the singer's view. Several hungry seagulls approach, but the singer shoos them away because of her hatred towards them. In the meantime, the sparrow dies of hunger and the neighbor's cat devours it. Despite her indifference towards birds, the singer is moved by the sparrow's plight and expresses a desire to have helped it.
The lyrics of Sio seem to be a metaphor for human indifference towards the suffering of others, both of humans and animals. The singer is presented as an unmoved observer of the world around her, until she witnesses the death of a small, vulnerable creature. The presence of the seagulls, which are typically not seen as beloved animals, provides a contrast to the sparrow's plight and serves to highlight the indifference that humans often show towards those who are in need. The singer's desire to help the sparrow, despite her lack of concern for birds in general, suggests that humans have the capacity for empathy and compassion if they choose to exercise it.
