1) Poland's popular music act of the 1990s. The band was founded in Szczecin, Poland in 1992 by guitarist Piotr Banach and charismatic lead singer Kasia Nosowska.
Although Hey sometimes described themselves as Poland's first grunge band, their melodic, guitar-driven rock and eclectic appearance owed more to New Wave and heavy metal influences; their first three albums contained songs in both Polish and English. During the band's mid-1990s heyday, they sold out stadiums throughout Poland, and attempted to break into the English-language market with a series of concerts overseas and an English version of their 1995 album. When this failed to arouse interest, the band began to write in Polish only, and gradually adopted a harder-edged, more industrial-influenced sound.
2) A Korean female singer who had a hit called "Je t'aime", recorded in both Korean and French. She has released three albums so far, her latest being recorded in 2008. Little is known about the Korean Hey, but she is still active and promoting the latest EP. See 해이.
3) Only German project of heyrec label (see [[http://heyrec.org]]) is represented at Last.fm with its tune of "Hey - Sans Toi".
4) Japanese video game developer, Shohei Yuki (ユキ ショウヘイ). He composed FM Synth music for his games. Capitalization of the name for this artist is 'HEY'.

Hey Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
a pod piorem ciagle nic
Obowiazek obowiazkiem jest,
piosenka musi posiadac tekst
Gdyby chociaz mucha zjawila sie,
moglabym ja zabic
A pozniej to opisac...
nie znacza nic
Jesli szukasz sensu, prawdy w nich -
zawiedziesz sie
A moze zmienic zasady gry?
Chcesz uslyszec slowa,
to sam je sobie wymysl
Nabij diabla, chmure smierci wez -
pomoze Ci Wnet twe mysli w slowa zmienia sie,
wyspiewasz je sam.
The first verse of Hey's song Teksanski describes a scene where tea is getting cold and it is getting darker around, a reference to the evening. The singer's pen is still not moving, which seems to suggest writer's block. However, she reminds herself that a song must have lyrics no matter what, which suggests the importance of sticking to the task at hand despite any challenges. She goes on to say that even if a fly appeared, she could kill it and then write about it later, which shows that she is willing to do whatever it takes to get inspiration.
The second verse talks about how the meaning of the lyrics is not always apparent or straightforward. The lyrics might seem empty or meaningless, but that does not mean they are not worth anything. The singer warns the listener that if they are looking for a clear message or truth in her words, they might be disappointed. The chorus suggests that maybe it's time to change the rules of the game. The listener is challenged to come up with their words if they want to hear something, indicating an invitation to be creative.
Overall, the message of the song seems to be about the creative process, specifically the struggle to come up with ideas and inspiration. The lyrics suggest that sometimes you have to push through and write even if you have writer's block or feel uninspired. Additionally, it acknowledges that sometimes the meaning in something is hidden, or there might not be any obvious takeaway, which is okay.

Herbata stygnie, zapada zmrok,
As the tea cools and dusk descends,
a pod piorem ciagle nic
My pen remains still, nothing comes to mind
Obowiazek obowiazkiem jest,
It's my duty to write a song,
piosenka musi posiadac tekst
But a song needs lyrics to be complete
Gdyby chociaz mucha zjawila sie,
If only a fly would appear,
moglabym ja zabic
I could kill it
A pozniej to opisac...
And then describe it...
W moich slowach sloma czai sie,
In my words, there is a hidden straw,
nie znacza nic
Which means nothing
Jesli szukasz sensu, prawdy w nich -
If you're looking for meaning, truth in them -
zawiedziesz sie
You'll be disappointed
A moze zmienic zasady gry?
Or perhaps change the rules of the game?
Chcesz uslyszec slowa,
If you want to hear words,
to sam je sobie wymysl
Make them up yourself
Nabij diabla, chmure smierci wez -
Invoke the devil, take a cloud of death -
pomoze Ci Wnet twe mysli w slowa zmienia sie,
It will help you, soon your thoughts will turn into words,
wyspiewasz je sam.
And you will sing them alone.

To sam je sobie wymyśl
Nabij diabła, chmurę śmierci weź
Pomoże ci
Wnet twe myśli w słowa zmienią się
Wyśpiewasz je sam - x2
