All alone I sit home by the phone waiting for you
All alone I sit home by the phone waiting for you (ooh, ooh)
All alone I sit home by the phone waiting for you, baby (baby)
All alone I sit home by the phone waiting for you, baby (baby)
All alone I sit home by the phone waiting for you, baby (baby)
And through the years, how can you stand to hear my pleading for you dear?
You know I'm crying (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
All alone I sit home by the phone waiting for you, baby (baby)
All alone I sit home by the phone waiting for you, for, for, for you (ooh, ooh)
All alone I sit home by the phone waiting for you, baby (ooh ooh)
And through the years, how can you stand to hear my pleading for you dear?

The lyrics to Hi_Tack's song Say Say Say convey the feelings of a person who is waiting by the phone for their love interest to call them. The repetition of the phrase "All alone I sit home by the phone waiting for you" shows the loneliness and desperation that the person feels. The use of the word "pleading" indicates that this person has repeatedly asked their love interest to call them but has not received a response. The line "And through the years, how can you stand to hear my pleading for you dear?" suggests that this has been going on for a while and the person is feeling hopeless.
The use of the sound effect "ooh ooh" throughout the song adds to the overall mood of sadness and longing.
