Signed on the strength of his mini-disc demos, the Welsh wonder has smashed his way through the Drum & Bass scene in no time at all.
His debut longplayer "True Colours" was released on Hospital to massive critical acclaim in June 2002, paving the way for a move onto the outernational DJ circuit and remixer of choice for many labels inside and outside of the Drum & Bass community. It was the club sessions and mixing skills that dominated the year following the release of "True Colours" - with Lincoln making a name for himself as one of the hottest Drum & Bass DJs around.
In autumn 2004 he dropped the massive "High Society" LP, featuring the anthemic singles "Twilights Last Gleaming" and "Racing Green". The album has already become the stuff of legend, with Knowledge Magazine voting it into their top 3 jungle albums of the last 10 years.
More recently after reaching Drum & Bass superstardom he has released mix albums for Fabric and Mixmag and seen his White Stripes remix all over Radio 1. Missy Elliot and Blaze have also come knocking for a Contrast remix and the world's dance floors have been blown apart by that Gold Digger booty.
2007 saw the High Contrast success story continue, with the single "If We Ever" getting play on Radio One, followed by arguably his finest album yet - "Tough Guys Don’t Dance". Rounding the year off with yet another huge remix – this time for Axwell’s Ibizan anthem "I Found You". As we speak, he’s back on the road taking his brand of widescreen jungle soul to the people. "All killer no filler" says IDJ Magazine. Go catch some Contrast and see that they are spot on!
High Contrast released a new album in 2007. The album "Tough Guys Don't Dance" was released on October 1, 2007 in the US. The single "Pink Flamingos" has gotten multiple plays on Sirius' Boombox (a.k.a. Channel 34). The album also has a mixed/mashed up version of Iron Butterfly's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida".

Five Mile
6am at a big messy house party in 2004ish, everyone was lying about coming down while some sort of techno just looped endlessly, I opened the curtains and windows, let the sun and fresh air in, stopped the tunes, put the promo of this tune I'd picked up on the decks, cranked it up and from the breakdown on we came alive again! It's almost 15 years a later and my mates whose party it was has passed away, but every now and then I remember this tune takes me back to that party and those times. Beautiful.

@whatthehelliot damn, I know it's been a year since you commented, but how'd you end up finding this song?
Harry Hedger
Sometimes I leave comments on old tracks reminiscing when I've had too much to drink, then feel embarrassed the next day, but reading comments like this makes me feel like maybe it's still worth doing

Timeless track. Hard to believe this was made over 10 years ago, still sounds fresh.

@Harry Hedger I was a single mum too.... he deserved those decks & everything that came with them (they were Technics & top quality...) all my mates were surfers/lifeguards & were heavily into mixing (i was living in Cornwall) some mixed d n b, some techno, some happy hardcore) I used to get in from work & he'd already picked up his litle sis from junior school, walked the dog & prepared the veg for dinner!!!!
I was lucky that one of my mates was upgrading & I think in the end I paid 150 quid for everything.... in instalments!!!... My son obviously got into this music through hearing what I played at home when mates came around on the odd occasion AFTER a night out & he'd babysat his sister!!!!

@Nikky Barceló - Faulkes I was 16 years old in 2003. My mom was a single parent that did well for herself and spoiled me. She would NOT buy me turntables for some reason. I couldn't ask for a better upbringing, but damn would I have loved to get my hands on some turntables at that age 😛 sounds like your son grew up in a really fun house
