I gotta be honest and say that while these movies hold a special place in my heart, this whole franchise- and yes, this is including the HSM series- just makes me feel all sorts of nostalgia and hope, as cringey as that sounds. The way they play off each other is really well done, Zack is initially hesitant (though more out there than Gabriella) and is about to walk off before Gabriella sings her first verse then he instantly melts into trying to enable her to show off her talent and reassure her she's doing fine - to her obviously utterly charmed embarrassment.
