This year I made a commitment to listen to Christian music and give up classic rock and my old music. My son passed away last summer which really did change my life. This music lift my spirits. I really really hope they have Jesus at the center. I dont know much about their ministry other than the fact that they make amazing music lol. But I hope behind all this Jesus is their number 1.

Don't worry my brother in Christ, he has, is and always will be at the center of the songs they sing. Besides just test them by their fruit if you want to be sure. What Hillsong Young & Free say and do, makes you want to be closer to God then ever before. Which is fruit of the holy spirit, reconciliation, showing the way, the truth and the life who is Jesus :)

I'm not one to question motives but I do hope and pray that Christ is their motive. Their songs, while catchy, have no real theological truth for the most part. As harsh as it sounds, most of it seems empty and fruitless. I used to be someone that just followed my emotions and got swept up by the atmosphere and the mood. I wasn't interested in praising Christ as much as I was chasing after acceptance and good vibes. Praise songs are supposed to give glory to God, not make you feel good. I can't fault their enthusiasm but I just feel like it's all a bit empty.

It's best you hear from him to know if this is inspired by The Artist of Earthly Artist's who is God so you can be in peace. That's what I do when trying to discern matters, just praying to our Papa God for his perspective on any situation. :)

Grace Lillian I agree with you. We should always take the Lord's perspective above man's. I used to love music like this because it made me feel good but honestly it didn't bring me closer to God. I liked it because of the beat. Now I enjoy singing old hymns and praise songs because they give God the glory. Yes they can be dull and not as catchy but that's not what it's about. God wants us to worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24), not to enjoy the beat.

Here in the Philippines there is this community called "The Lord’s Flock" that there are some songs like "Real Love" that we put dance steps into into the song that the singers will sing and the dancers to dance and our instrumentalists to play the song make our members to be entertained with dancing and singing to Praise Jesus Christ Thank you 😊
