My younger brother committed suicide last weekend by overdosing on something. He was found with headphones on, presumably listening to something. This is his youtube account. He made a playlist containing 6 songs that was edited the day he passed. This is one of the 6 songs. With the method he used, he was dead after about 30 minutes, probably unconscious around 12 minutes. I like to think that it was peaceful for him with his music on. I love you Myles, I'll miss you everyday for the rest of my life.

This song actually came on an mp3 player I treasured in my teens. The song really grew on me as I listened to it and now years later I remembered this song and found it. Nostalgia is a word that can't even begin to describe the emotions and feelings this song evokes in me. And even though it reminds me of some of the darkest times in my life when I was on the verge of suicide (yes I had a really rough childhood) I don't feel any pain from those dark times instead I feel released and happy. (I am in an infinitely better place in life now friends, self confidence, independence, and very healthy lifestyle)

Discovered this song around the time I started to have a fallout with my best friend. I was in a really bad place mentally for 9 months at that point last April and felt like I was losing everything. I did a lyric video for the song in the meanwhile as the song felt like a message to move on from our friendship. But like a desperate fool, I ignored the signs and almost mended our friendship again. Then she ghosted me for 2 weeks straight, leaving me to assume she was busy. When we texted my brother out of the blue, I texted her eagerly, only to be left on read. I realized this was the time for me to say F this to the friendship and break it off, nearly a year after I broke off a friendship with another girl I was close with for years. I told this girl everything, poured my heart out like she did with me. The only difference was that I took her problems into consideration and tried to help her. She didn't do so for me. She joked about mine and didn't try to help. She just said wow and changed topics. This song helps me to realize I'm better off without friends anyways.

Just went through the toughest breakup of my life. She was my everything for over a year. Now this song speaks to me. It took a little while to get over her. Had a very bad breakup with a girl I just adored. While I was in the relationship, I thought I couldn't live without her. I remember how much this song has inspired me after a breakup 4 yrs ago... I was stationed in South Korea and had 6 weeks left. So I traveled throughout the city of Seoul each weekend wasting $100 but travel has always been my thing and I kept myself busy. I learned that is not how much she had left me broken, it was more about how to gain control of my life again and always realize that there is life after a breakup. This song from Hinder has been one of my favorite songs since then

I've never had a girlfriend, however I think the message behind the song can apply anytime you end a toxic relationship with anyone or anything. It could be friendship gone bad or leaving a job that just drove you through the wall.
