In this clip, you can't even tell he has dementia. He's talking like any other 91 year old dad with his son. What a tribute to his children by saying, " I have a lot of respect for my children." He still wants to make sure Dan's making the right decision towards his law practice. Even though he's been divorced for 40 + years, he's always making sure that the mother of his children is doing well. Heart warming 💓 .

Your dad is such a nice man. He worries about his family and wants to know that everyone is doing well. The love is there, even with the dementia. I always laugh when he’s told he’s 91…..incredulously he says “I’m 91?!”. We never get that old on the inside. In his mind, he’s still a young man, working to care for his family. Powerful words from a parent. I never heard I love you until I was 27 years old, had just lost my father. It helped my mother say words I never heard (or felt) from her. As a "daddy's girl", as I was told. My sister spent her time dancing, it makes sense if I spent much more time with him.. She def holds that against me, sadly. It was out of my control! Although he never spoke love, I felt his love, and no he did not spend money or use any type of spending to add to our time. I went to Radio Shack with him, he fixed broken TV's in his free time. He prob had stock in RS! jk

Sometimes in this state of mind. I think how wonderful. I don't know if your father always talked to you that way. That is how unconditional love and Free Will of a Creator truly is. Good on your dad :-) also good on your mom. If the two of them raised you that way. Good on you that you get this time now to have it. So few people do. They're busy working their guts away. They're miserable usually, guts Twisted in knots for to much working. To little money. Or shopping addiction, drug addiction etc keeping them spending, unnecessarily. Where their parents are off in nursing homes. We have got to change the mindset of this country. Changing one's self is the best way to do that, one person at a time. You are a wonderful example Dan.
