I first discovered this song because of the movie "blue valentine", Ryan gosling singing this is absolutely beautiful. Also a heart breaking movie.
Then there's a loading screen in bioshock 2 which also plays this song. My favorite game from one of my favorite franchises.
At last, fear street, such a good slasher movie trilogy.

I am 62 years old. When I was 14, I studied the guitar from a master. His name was Richard Choi. Back in the 1930's he was head music arranger at NBC Radio in New York. In his office he had the Mills Brothers autographed picture on the wall. In fact he taught one of the brothers how to play the guitar. In fact the intro to this song sounds really familiar to the scales I had learned.

You know life has taken a strange turn at 9 years old when yer watchin grandpa n grandma dancin close in the kitchen after a verbal brawl to this song. It was my introduction eye opener as far as people in love go. My Grandparents were unique. I loved them dearly. And unbeknownst to them, gave me a memory that will always be there to see me through. That was 1969. ❤️❤️

Ezra Aleman Considering the attention to historical accuracy in many small
details within "Monuments Men" I think it's a safe guess the Spring 1944 Decca
release by the Mills Brothers was used.
In late June the song entered the Billboard charts, became a #1 record and
remained on the charts for another 20 weeks.
I'm not sure which exact release we hear on this channel.
