The song "Memory" by Hojean is a reflective and introspective break-up song that is simultaneously empowering and melancholic. The first verse opens with the singer asking his former lover what they are looking for, but if it is him, they should consider him missing in action (MIA). He then asserts that even if they search through every door, he will not love them as he once did. The chorus makes it clear that the singer has had enough of his former lover, and he knows what he must do. If he never returns, it is because he has found somebody better for himself, and even if he mentions his former lover, they are only a memory to him.
The second verse shifts to the singer's present state of mind and emotions. He exclaims how good it feels to love himself and to express his joy audibly. Despite the catharsis of his act of self-love though, the chorus immediately follows reasserts the fact that his past love is now only a memory to him.
