Let Go
Home Grown Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
With things that you don't have control over?
What good is it to worry when
You never know what's really going to happen?
[Chorus]
Tomorrow's just another day away, you'll find your way
You'll be okay You just have to learn to let go
When things get you down
Should you look back? No!
Turn your head around
And take things one day at a time
But plan ahead for mountains you have yet to climb
[Chorus: x2]
The lyrics of Home Grown's song Let Go suggest that one should not worry about the things that they cannot control. The first line suggests that there is no point in being concerned with such things. The second line further emphasizes this point by asking why worry at all when one never knows what's going to happen. The chorus reinforces this message with the phrase "tomorrow's just another day away," implying that there will always be time to deal with issues as they arise, and that worrying about them will only create unnecessary anxiety.
The second verse suggests that when things get tough, it's important to stay focused on the present moment and not dwell on the past. The lyrics encourage the listener to take things "one day at a time" and to plan ahead for future challenges. The chorus is repeated twice, further emphasizing the message of letting go of worry and adopting a more positive outlook.
Overall, Home Grown's Let Go is a song about learning to let go of the things that are out of our control and taking life one moment at a time. It encourages us to focus on the present and not to get bogged down by past events or future uncertainties.
