Certain scenes do not mention 'cause my life
What I'm called, all I been told
How you'll get there, then you know
As you wait, you keep waiting a long time
Just lying away driving past you yesterday
Wish you well, see you happy, see you fine
I can't deny it, it's been a hell of a hard time
Now I'd like to get back, cocktails raise a glass
I'm unwell, I'm unhappy all the time
I couldn't hide it, it's been a hell of a hard climb
I should divide it, it's been a hell of a hard climb
Climb
Where you're from, where you belong
When you get there, how come
Everyday, please no, thank you 'cause my life
I can't deny it, it's been a hell of a hard time
I couldn't fight it, I've had a hell of a hard time
Just whiling away, driving past you, yesterday
Are you well? Ain't you happy? You alright?
And I'd like to get back (I can't deny it)
Cocktails raise a glass (it's been a hell of a hard time)
What the hell (I can't deny it)
I'm not willing to unwind (it's been a hell of a hard time)
I can't deny it, I've had a hell of a hard time
I couldn't fight it, it's been a hell of a hard time (time)
The lyrics of Horse's song "You Are" describe a deep emotional connection between two people who have found solace in each other's company. The lines "Do your damned, devil and deep blue sea / Take my hand we'll forget who we are" suggest that the singer is willing to go through any hardship or adversity with their partner, no matter how challenging or perilous the journey ahead may be. They are both seeking comfort and security in each other's presence, despite the challenges they face.
Throughout the song, there is a recurring motif of physical closeness and intimacy, as the singer describes "breathing your skin, your hair / lying awake while you sleep / closing the distance you keep". This suggests a desire to bridge any emotional or physical distance that exists between the two individuals, and to deepen their connection even further.
Ultimately, the lyrics of "You Are" convey a sense of intense emotional devotion and a determination to overcome any obstacles in the pursuit of true love and companionship.

Any one interested in buying a horse for the first time needs to watch this video about 100 times. He is absolutely on point.
Horses are a major time commitment.
Horses don't go on vacation, so you can't.
Horses cost a fortune, and that is only the beginning, they can eat their weight in money every month.
They must have a good pasture, or be ready to provide good quality hay daily.
Plan on some expensive vet bills yearly.
Saddles, bridles, lead ropes, halters, saddle blankets, and a million other accessories.
Remember the personality part! Horses bite, kick, buck, they will run from you. They fight with other horses.
...and about 1 million other things to consider before getting a horse.
God’sSparrow
@Jo It is, but one would need to be committed to spending time REGULARLY with that horse.
It’s unhealthy for a horse to be stalled for long periods of time. They are herd animals, and grazers by nature.
A horse does best when the owner lays hands upon them and works with them daily, even for a short amount of time.
IMO, it’s up to the owner and not a stable hand to bond with and secure the trust and working relationship with their mount.
If you can commit to that kind of time, your life will change, and for the better.
Good luck!

Once, my husband came home saying that a guy had a horse he would give us for our daughter.
I love horses but we were poor and lived in town.
I told him “no” because we couldn’t afford the up keep for the horse.
Getting a horse is not the main expense. Keeping it properly is, and it was not in our budget.
That’s probably why the guy was trying to give it away.
Trinity Vandenacre
Free horses are even more expensive! 😄
kik0le
When I first read your comment I thought you meant the guy wanted to trade his horse for your daughter haha.
Katmandu Dawn
@kik0le No, but she’d be pretty expensive to keep too. Not only are you looking at feed, shoes, teeth work, shots and medical but there’s college too.
Nostradamus
I don't know.
Trading a horse for a daughter sounds cheaper in the long run.
Starlight Equestrian
I run a 10 horse barn by myself. I feed, muck, turnout and maintain the whole place.
I decided to go on a weekend vacation for labor day and obviously need to have the boarders I care for help with the horses. After over a month of working stuff out with the other boarders they have figured out that it will take 5 of them to do the job for the weekend. I am very grateful for their help so I can take a break. But, their realization of the sheer amount of work that must be done, shocked them. Which is why it took a while to split the chores.
Horses are either a lifestyle or a richman's game. It isn't a casual hobby.

10 horse barn by yourself! You have my respects I can barely handle 3 horses and a pony 😅
Michael Fielding
Would love to get into the lifestyle.
Starlight Equestrian
@Michael Fielding don't give up on it if that's your dream. I have dreamt about this my whole life and now I have it. Took until almost 30 to start, but it was worth the wait

@Starlight Equestrian I would love to understand the steps it takes to getting started. Like owning your own property with a barn, did you buy that? I struggle just knowing how can I get started
