2. With a name like Hotel, you’d be right to expect some horror vibes, and the rapper delivers on that promise with his new song “Hell Bound.” The Memphis MC is all threats and hell-raising, but delivered in a nonchalant manner, dropping nightmarish lines like, “I see the signs, I’m not worried/ What are they doing that’s better/ Might write his mother a letter/ Tell her she should have done better” as if he were ordering fries. Hotel’s flow is interspersed with a practiced breathing pattern that’s so consistent that the spaces in between bars become a rhythmic presence in their own right. A scratchy synth from producer Young Antho hovers over the whole thing like an oil slick, paired with a deep undercurrent of bass.
3. Hotel is Diego García, singer-songwriter (fusion, folk, electronic), from Maracaibo, Venezuela. Visit http://enunhotel.bandcamp.com

@UnempMark
Looks very nice
@GlobalAdventurer
Nice! But that bathroom with all those windows aren't 😳🤣
@departure_level
The bathroom is actually gorgeous, and super private — lots of windows but there are no buildings around, only those beautiful trees!
@GlobalAdventurer
@@departure_level Ok. Maybe it was just how you filmed it, that it didn't appear to be private. Good to know there's privacy. I've never stayed in that area yet. Maybe one day I might.
@GlobalAdventurer
I'm back with a question. Even though I live in Mexico City, I've been ALL AROUND Mexico City and stayed in numerous areas around the city with the exception of Roma/Condesa area. Aside from the "Brick Hotel", which streets/intersections in Roma Norte would be the best to find a hotel/B&B/apartment or whatever in order to just walk outside and be in the action. I always tried to avoid Roma/Condesa areas because of the number of tourists staying there since most of them that come to Mexico City want to stay there. Anyway, I'm planning for the future, and would like to finally add that area to my list of places to try out when I want to get away from the south of Mexico City. Thanks in advance!
@departure_level
Basically, I look for places in Condesa that are within two or three blocks of Parque Mexico or Parque España. In Roma Norte, I look for proximity to Avenida Alvaro Obregón, which is the main strip for cafes, dining and independent shops. But pretty much anywhere in Condesa and Roma Norte is fine, honestly — and I find both more interesting than Polanco, which is filled with international chains and expensive international brand stores, rather than local and independent places. Zona Rosa is fun too, though it's a bit noisier and has far fewer Airbnb options since it's such a tiny wedge of a neighborhood — but it's very centrally located right along Reforma. I've also stayed on the other side of Reforma (one block away from the Angel de la Independencia) and that worked well, too. Lots of great options!
@GlobalAdventurer
@@departure_level Thanks a bunch! That information helped a lot. I screenshot it for future use 😃
@GlobalAdventurer
@@departure_level Edited: I might stay at the Brick Hotel too actually, but just a few days. I'm trying to plan a two week birthday celebration for myself (solo), and I always celebrate my birthday somewhere in the world, and next year I decided to just do it here in Mexico City.
I edited this posting because it was actually off subject for your video review for the Brick Hotel. Thanks again for the video review!
