Teardrop
House M.D Lyrics

When you call
The way you hurt me
It's a wonder I'm still here at all
Someday you'll wake up
And you'll find yourself alone
Lock, stock and teardrops
I can't go on
The way you make me feel
You make me cry
And every time expect me to forgive
Someday you'll wake up
To a cold and lonely dawn
Lock, stock and teardrops
I'll be gone
Oh someday I'll wake up
And find the strength to carry on
And lock, stock and teardrops
I'll be gone
Lock, stock and teardrops
Lock, stock and teardrops
Lock, stock and teardrops
I'll be gone
The lyrics of House M.D.'s song 'Teardrop' express emotions of hurt, disappointment, and eventual acceptance. The opening lines of the song, "Someday, I won't come running when you call" hints at a relationship that is crumbling, where the singer is slowly detaching themselves emotionally from their partner. The second line, "The way you hurt me, it's a wonder I'm still here at all" illustrates how the partner's actions have caused pain and that the relationship is already weighing heavily on the singer's mental and emotional state.
In the chorus, the lyrics get more direct and the singer states that "someday you'll wake up and you'll find yourself alone, lock, stock, and teardrops, I'll be gone". This line shows the inevitability of the relationship's end and how the singer has now accepted that it is time to move on. The second part of the chorus reveals the reason for this decision: "I can't go on the way you make me feel, you make me cry and every time expect me to forgive". The partner's actions are causing emotional pain that is too much to bear, and the singer has reached the point of no return.
In the third verse, the singer expresses hope for the future: "Oh someday I'll wake up and find the strength to carry on, and lock, stock, and teardrops, I'll be gone." This line shows that the singer is looking towards the future and hoping that they will soon have the strength to move on and leave the relationship behind for good. The final lines of the song repeat the chorus, emphasizing the singer's resolution to leave behind the pain and heartbreak.
Overall, the lyrics of 'Teardrop' showcase the complexities of relationships, including the pain and heartbreak that can come with them. The song is an emotional and honest account of a relationship's end and the struggle to move on.

This was such a perfect intro. I'm rewatching House now and it's just not the same without that song. I guess I'll just have to keep this open and play it at the start of every episode to get the full effect, lol.

@AnandRaiSays
The best thing about this intro is
The show always starts with someone suffering or randomly fainting but suddenly this music kicks in and we see House with a look on his face which says ' I ll handle it bitches, i was bored anyway '.
Ps: this entrance still sends chill down my spine .
