I love the alternate ending, and that song, too. I also love how at the very end, an Audrey II not only attacks the audience, but attacks them independently from the movie. It would be even cooler if they made a version where the movie screen was replaced by a TV screen.

Yup, it was the ending Frank Oz originally wanted for it, so the director's cut is the movie with the alternate ending. Fab review jay . Skid Row has to be one of the best songs ever written for a musical. I don't understand how anyone can dislike any of your reviews. Little shop is awesome. I was lucky enough to perform in the stage version of this a few years ago. I played Crystal, so I got to belt out the opening of skid row and song the main theme. Little shop, little shop of horrors... X

It really is an excellent edition. I love digibooks as well, great photos and information in them. Yeah I do like the original cover/poster art but I do like this artwork too, it's new and unique.

Hey Jay, long time no hear. I loved this movie as a child and still watch it. I have it on regular DVD. I didn't even know that there was an alternate ending to this classic movie. The best scene for me was when they was doing the whole "Skidrow" sing along. And yes, John Candy is awesome.

I have been waiting for this edition to come out for years. I remember seeing the alternate ending when i was younger at this makeshift comic gathering where i lived. As far as musicals i would have to say that Xanadu is still my favorite.

Yeah, I'm with ya, I'm not a huge musical fan myself, only like a few , and this is one of my favorites. Definitely an all time classic. I agree Steve Martin was hilarious.

Fully agree, a definitely must have. I had the old snapper case dvd that didn't have the alternate ending , but now I have this! So I'm gunna trade or sell my old dvd. I know I am really excited they put the alternate ending in fully restored color. Yeah, it will definitely be a collector's item.

Ah very cool, that sounds like a lot to me. Great Nolan collection. I'm not sure if you still have a blockbuster by you but they used to have the DK Batpod edition on sale, I ended up getting 2 a while back for $9.99 a piece, pretty good deal if you ask me considering at the time the standard blu-ray alone was more money. Not sure what the prices are now though. Hope you can find one for yourself. If I still had my extra copy I'd help you out but I traded it a while back.

I cant wait to get this! Its a must have for movie fans. Fav musical/movie Id go with either West Side Story or Little Shop of Horrors. Im stoked they put the alternate ending on it in color! I still have the rare oop special edition dvd w/it in b/w and Ill never part w/that!

I didn't think I really turned them in any particular way, it certainly didn't damage the pages by turning them. Not sure what you mean really, but it is kind of difficult to turn the pages and hold the camera at the same time. Haha thanks man, always appreciate your support, you rock

Holy moly! I just checked and apparently it is oop now and new sealed it's going for $65 on amazon through merchant sellers, that's nuts! I had no idea. i'd love to buy that but i watched the blue ray version at a friend's house not too long ago and they have a really big flatscreen tv so every moment with the plant looked just as terrifying to me as they were when i was a little kid

I just finished watching the Director´s Cut. I am so happy right now because i like the new ending so much. So much great Effects just cut from the original movie. One of my favorite movies just got a lot better with this ending. Also like your review. I fell you´r a fan of that movie too. kepp it going.

As a Michael Jackson fan, I also love his musicals like Ghosts and The Wiz. But it's very hard for me to say that Little shop of Horrors is a bit better.... Maybe not. :)

Who knows, I saw that now, but I might change my mind when I actually see it. Nice, what do you have on your Nolan shelf currently? The Dark Knight Rises editions coming out do look awesome, I know I plan to get the steelbook and one of the diigbooks.

You can always import it, usually Warner bros titles are region free, all the digibooks I have from them are region free

Nice my sister likes this movie I'm going to show this to here as a link just wish they had this edition on DVD. I guess I'll buy a blu-ray player. Speaking of that I discovered a better restored version of The Lone Wolf And Cub Series on Amazon.com so maybe I'll get both of these in the future.

Yeah I spotted it on Amazon.com but just to let you know that the British website Amazon.Co.UK Has a region 2 DVD set that also has trailers included while neither the Blu-Ray or DVD set here in the States has no features at all plus the British DVD set has all the films plus the American dubbed version Shogun Assassin. In my own opinion the region 2 set seems the deal to me and the sets roughly sell about the same for the price range. American Blu-Ray set. thirty five to thirty six dollars

basically why the original ending was pulled not a big enough percentage of the test audience could tolerate. They need a 55% recommendation to keep in in they on got 15%. this is mentioned in the film festival footage that was made after they aired the original ending at a film festival in new York last year. Seymour death was better in the play I guess they thought climb into the plant with a knife was overkill.

they also cut out the its just gas musical number and 1/3 of meek she'll inhert when they were forced to scrap the original ending smart idea because the verizion of Audrey II when its still in the pot at the end was a real nuisance to control it weighed like a ton took 50 people of camera to be able to control its movements.

Love this film! So had to get this digibook, but I'm not a huge fan of the cover. Looks pretty generic. John Candy's screen time you can count in minutes on just one hand. Should have put Steve Martin on there.

i totally can see the difficult in turning pages while still trying to give us good video. im just saying people who put a lot of value into something they consider treasure usually dont handle their shit at all and flip out when you touch it. theyre not action figures theyre dolls... or is it theyre not dolls, theyre action figures? that digi book looked to be something i would think was so valuable to you that i would not handle it if invited into your house.

I made a mistake I thought she liked this one but she said to me she's never heard of the movie before. Also yes the movie may be on DVD but what about the alternative ending but the thing is if it's only in black & white rather than color like on the blu-ray edition then that just doesn't seem fair at all. I'm just saying both the blu-ray and DVD should both have all the nice features included plus the color version of the alternative ending included as a nice bonus so both blu-ray and DVD

and the British region 2 DVD set sells for about twenty five pounds or forty three dollars US. So just to say as I heard from someone else on Youtube that the British DVD set on Amazon.Co.UK is the one to go for. At least the American Blu-Ray set doesn't have the horrible reviews of being badly cropped like the DVD set that's over overwhelmingly over priced in the eighty to ninty dollar price range and once again no features either if your wondering?

yhea the original dvd got pulled 3 days after release. They put the alternate ending on the dvd and a commentary track for it with out getting approval from Griffin who also did Joe's apartment. They also took the cast commentary off as well. Ghostbuster also had a second mystery science theater like commentary done for it also that was not included on the prints of the dvd I you got it together with the sequel. which is stupid
