I sing my girlfriend who suffers from a severe depression to sleep every night this song. I just side right beside our bed with my guitar and I play it while looking at her eyes. The first time I saw her eyes when singing this to her I knew she was the one I loved and she just slowly drifter away calmly, something that usually would only happen if she took sleeping pills I now help her calm down her little restless heart to sleep. My dad had a large playlist full of hundreds of songs on a cd he’d move it around the house to play in the kitchen and then in the car. I remember hearing all the songs and playing it on long car rides in the summer when I went to visit my aunt and watching trees and the countryside go by, watching the sun set and listening to music sometimes singing along. After my mum, my dad didn’t play this playlist once, it’s been a long time but for the first time yesterday me and my dad were going to pick something up from a shop and this was the first song I heard playing, I checked to see if it was the radio but instead he was playing his cd.

I went through a very traumatic experience last year.. Then I met a guy full of red flags at my most vulnerable time I looked past them all.. I ended up being a heroin addict because of him.. Luckily only for 6 months before I asked for help and got away.. I have been clean the last 3 weeks.. I know how hard it is to beat an addiction.. Especially one that's physical as well as mental..
