1) Hugo is an American Aor singer who is most known for his album with Valentine. Hugo began singing with Open Skyz and has released three solo-albums so far. After more than 10 years of absence he made his comeback in 2008 on firefest IV and will be performing again at firefset V.
2) Born in England and raised in Thailand, Hugo - a seriously dedicated songwriter, musician and performer -- has already plowed through several aesthetic incarnations on the road to Old Tyme Religion.
3) A minimal techno artist and manager hailing from Turin, Italy, Hugo was really young when he had the perception that music is something more than an expression of art. while he was smoking and wondering on his balcony surrounded by the industrial landscapes of Mirafiori blocks, he got his flash of inspiration. His first battle he sang with Tabea Anderfuhren "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye feat. Kimbra , but unfortunately he lost this battle and left the show.

The opening lines of Hugo's song "Loverboy" bring to light the internal turmoil of the singer. The "black lips" could be interpreted as a symbol of his darkness, indicating that he's done things he isn't proud of. The line, "Don't want your heart, don't want your mind" confirms his desire to stay away from love or any sort of emotional transaction. Hugo's character is seeking an escape from his current state of mind and truly desires some excitement in his life, as indicated by the line, "I wanna feel alive, make me feel alive". He's willing to take risks and challenge societal norms to achieve a sense of euphoria. He doesn't need love to feel okay, instead, he's willing to embrace a careless existence that revolves around momentary pleasures.
The singer is aware of the fact that his way of life may be perceived as unconventional, and he's questioning his choices with the words "Are you wrong for not wanting to wait for love your whole life?" He's in a dilemma and trying to find validation for his non-conformist behavior. In the final chorus, he deems his lover the possessor of his heart, calling him “my lover boy.”
