The song "La Terre Est Si Belle" by Hugues Aufray, which translates to "The Earth Is So Beautiful," speaks about the beauty of the earth and the vastness of the world that is waiting to be explored. The lyrics are directed towards someone who is knowledgeable about nature, and asks them to remember the people left behind as they fly off to new adventures. The song portrays the earth as a place of wonder and beauty, and encourages the listener to explore it.
The first verse addresses someone who knows how to sing with the wind and understands the sand and ocean, the wild forests, and the creatures that inhabit them. The song asks this person to remember the people they are leaving behind as they embark on new adventures. The chorus sings of how beautiful the earth is, how grand the world is and that they should fly high like a bird, using the wind as their wing.
The second verse talks about someone who can navigate with the stars and talk with volcanoes. The song urges this person to go as far as they can, from the desert of ice to the land of fire, traveling from one space to another. The chorus is repeated, where the song speaks of the earth's beauty and vastness, and the person should go to welcome spring.
Overall “La Terre Est Si Belle” is a song that celebrates the beauty and vastness of the earth, and encourages the listener to go explore and discover new things. It suggests that such exploration will lead to the discovery of the beauty of this planet and motivates individuals to enjoy and appreciate it.
