Playing this game on GameCube definitely shaped my adult music taste.
Sonics Punk rock, Tails Ska, Eggmans Industrial, Knuckles Garage and 2 step, Rogue’s groove and jazz, Shadows jungle and DnB. Everyone had their own distinct style that would fit their play style.

So many memories with this stage and music. I remember playing on this stage in 2-player a lot on the Dreamcast version. My friend and I would ignore the emeralds and just goof around claiming floating containers for our own or having fun running around a big area and gliding for miles. Mad Space was really frustrating to me too so Meteor Herd was like the chiller version and I liked that. I had a FreeWebs website back then and on one of my pages I put a MIDI of this song. I remember spending hours just sitting there listening to it loop.
