1. Hurt (sometimes typeset as HURT) is a rock band formed in 2000 in Virginia, now located in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Currently signed to Carved Records, the band has released three major label albums, with the fourth, The Crux, released on May 1, 2012. The group consists of lead singer J. Loren Wince, guitarist Michael Roberts, bassist Rek Mohr, and drummer Victor Ribas.
The band first released the independent albums Hurt in 2000 and The Consumation in 2003. Many of the songs from these albums found their way onto their first two major label releases, and The Consumation was re-mastered as The Re-Consumation in 2008. The band received critical (though not commercial) success with their major label debut album, Vol. 1, released on March 21, 2006. Their singles "Rapture" and "Falls Apart" gained minor radio airplay on rock stations throughout United States. Their second album was the critically acclaimed Vol. II, released on September 25, 2007, and they gained their largest radio rock hit yet with the single "Ten Ton Brick."
HURT released their fifth studio album on April 7, 2009, titled Goodbye to the Machine.
On May 1, 2012, the album The Crux was released on Carved Records featuring the single "How We End Up Alone."
2. Hurt formed in Wrocław, Poland and debuted in 1994 with a tape titled "Babilon". In 1997 they released a live album "Serki dietetyczne". At that time they were a little known, some would say underground band. All that started to change when the biggest independent label in Poland became interested in them and so came the cd for SP Records called "Musisz to kupić" (1999). After that record the band got their first drummer, before that they played with automatic percussion. You can still hear it in their style.
After that follwed another cd "Dokładny czas". (2000)
Then the group stopped touring for a while and almost put an end to it's existence. However, after some personnal changes they've returned in 2005 with "Czat" contaning the hit "Załoga G" and started touring more then usual. In summer 2006 Hurt toured with happysad.

Hurt Lyrics

A song in the streets
Sounds like the 23rd psalm
To music of 21 guns
The flowers are dead
In a vase by the bed
On the place where the old woman died
It's the same place she started her life
And probably print the wrong date
The day that you die,
'Cause we're all gonna die
Cute little puppies and bunnies and birds
People who sing when they don't know the words
You will die
'Cause we're all gonna die
It's just part of life
All men, women, children, hermaphrodites too
Animals, aliens and certainly you
You will die
'Cause we're all gonna die
'Cause everyone dies
And all that was ever
And all that will be
Single celled creatures
And anything green
You will die
'Cause we're all gonna die
Start saying goodbye
From the moment you start up this miserable life
You should know that it's only a matter of time
'Til you die
'Cause we're all gonna die
Start saying goodbye
And the morons at labels who think they know tunes
The army of lawyers that threaten to sue
The hookers that blow them when I just want food
And the asshats that download and never bought tunes
You should die
'Cause we're all gonna die
I can't wait 'til you die
All Protestants, Catholics
and Orthadox Jews
You dumb Scientologists
And guys who bend spoons
Well Buddhists, sort of
And Athiests too
All you whackjob believers
Nobody's immune
You will die
'Cause we're all gonna die
Kiss your ass goodbye
And sarcastic song writers
Guys with tattoos
Drummers and bassists and engineers too
And every last person that sang in this room
They will die
'Cause we're all gonna die
Yeah we're all gonna die
'Cause we're all gonna die
Yeah we're all gonna die
And it's just a reminder of something that's frequently known
The lyrics to "Flowers" by Hurt are a reminder of our finite lives on this earth. The song begins with children singing a song that sounds like the 23rd psalm, to the music of 21 guns. The flowers in a vase by the bed are dead, where an old woman died who started her life in that same place. The song goes on to say that everyone will eventually die because it's just a part of life. From single-celled creatures to humans, death is inevitable. The lyrics also take a sarcastic turn and express disdain for those who contribute to the music industry, religion, and anyone with a peculiar belief system. The message of the song resonates with everyone because we are all going to die, regardless of our age or status.

My mother passed away last month. In which, I've been playing this song a lot recently. Don't fear death, embrace it's inevitability, and be happy. This is just such a beautiful song,
