B.o.B's opening lines, "I'm out of my fucking mind, gee, gee, golly, oh my. I was doing fine once upon a time", suggests that he has mental issues that have gradually evolved over time. He mentions that his brain just left without saying goodbye, indicating that he may have experienced a severe episode of a mental illness, like bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. He also presents scenarios of paranoid delusions, where he is constantly checking his doors and blinds for espionage. Both artists present a persona of being unstable, which can be very concerning as it perpetuates some of the negative stereotypes surrounding mental health issues. The erratic nature of the lyrics might be attributed to the effects of the illnesses depicted in the song.
