Absolutely love this!  Not many people would go out on a limb and Moog this in the old style of Isao Tomita.  As a young girl, Stravinsky was in my repertoire and yet I feel that when classical music is played and arranged in this fashion, it helps to stimulate the senses and you can actually hear something that you may have not heard in an original orchestral score.  Kudos to you!

@schwansongs I can definately say that it is difficult to rework "The Rite", this was an initial attempt, I will be redoing this again soon, with new techniques I have been working on since this was made. There is a fine balance between making different enough and keeping the score recognisable

excelente!!! mis admiración y gratitud por subir esta música genialmente sintetizada.

@deadlover73 It was so different from what was classed at the time as tradtional ballet music, some loved it, others hated it and it was the shouting match and then near riot in the theater that made it famous. It still sounds modern and fresh and mould breaking almost 100 years on and set up stravinsky as one of the great composers of all time.

@lainet Glad you like most of it :-). I agree with the lack of dynamics and this is something I have been working on with the analogue modular that I now have. There are no presets to work from with this like on soft synths, each sound has to be made from scratch but it gives you more control over the sound and things like the lead intro you mention, together with better production techniques the next parts should sound hopefully better which means this part will need to be re-mixed to match

nice work! I did a arrangement of the "spring rounds" segment for two keys, electric guitar, bass and drums a few years back and i've thought a long time about doing the whole piece electronically. Its great to see other people are thinking along the same lines. Awesome stuff mate!

Excellent! It's a great choice of piece to do with synthesizers and the different voices fit very well together. Looking forward to the next part.

pixelnix

Very cool! Looking forward to hearing the rest. Great synth sounds.

It is very difficult to "rescore" something this impressive and well-known with very different-sounding instruments, and I'm very impressed with how you treated this. Not over-the-top, but just carefully and thoughtfully reworked. It is an enjoyable listen, and you maintain its serious nature, and do not go overboard with weird-for-the-sake-of-weird synth voicings. Nice work. ttfn, Eduard
