From under the mountain of this weight
Call it out again
Don't be afraid of an avalanche
Something's happening
Don't want to get caught up in it
Would you believe that we're never coming down
Standing on the top screaming so loud
Would you believe that we're never coming down
Standing on the top screaming so loud
Wasn't that we got there was the journey with you
Climbing the steepest wall I've seen
Won't ever let go of that feeling
Call it out again
Don't be afraid of an avalanche
Something's happening
Don't want to get caught up in it
Would you believe that we're never coming down
Standing on the top screaming so loud
Wasn't that we got there was the journey with you
Would you believe that we're never coming down
Standing on the top screaming so loud
Wasn't that we got there was the journey with you
Would you believe that we're never coming down
Standing on the top screaming so loud
Wasn't that we got there was the journey with you
Would you believe that we're never coming down
Standing on the top screaming so loud
Wasn't that we got there was the journey with you
In the song "Mountains," the singer is feeling lost and hopeless, but is finding comfort in the thought of returning home. They acknowledge their struggles with depression and the challenges they face, but express a desire for optimism and hope. The repeated refrain of "I want to see you make the best of this" suggests a message of encouragement to the listener, motivating them to persevere even in tough times.
The imagery of mountains is a recurring motif throughout the song. Mountains often represent obstacles, but they can also signify strength, wisdom, and endurance. The singer seems to be using the mountains as a metaphor for the challenges they and the listener face, and the need to overcome them in order to reach a better place.
The lines "What's it like in another life? Do you just want to get away?" paint a picture of someone who is struggling with their current situation and yearning for something different. The singer seems to be empathizing with this feeling, acknowledging that sometimes it's hard to see a way out. However, they suggest that seeking out new experiences and perspectives can help to bring about a sense of closure and resolution.
Overall, "Mountains" is a song about resilience, perseverance, and hope. Despite the struggles that the singer and the listener may face, there is a message of encouragement and the promise of brighter days ahead.
