It's the terror of knowing
What the world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming Let me out
Pray tomorrow gets me higher
Pressure on people people on streets
Day day de mm hm

Keep coming up with love but it's so slashed and torn
Why, why, why?

Can't we give ourselves one more chance
Why can't we give love that one more chance
Why can't we give love give love give love give love
Give love give love give love give love give love
'Cause love's such an old fashioned word

Pressure
The song "Under Pressure" by Queen and David Bowie explores the concept of pressure and its effects on individuals, families, and society. The opening lines showcase nonsensical, repetitive sounds that can be construed as the disorienting effects of pressure. The lyrics then dive into the intensity of pressure weighing on everyone, pushing down on the singer and pressing down on the listener, affecting us all. The lyrics take on an ominous tone as they suggest that pressure can bring down buildings, split families, and put people out on the streets.
The second verse of the song shifts to an introspective view of pressure. The terror of knowing what the world is like and how it operates is a theme that ties in well with the rest of the song. The final verses of the song show the singer trying to find a way to cope with pressure. He muses on his despair at watching good friends begging to be let out from under pressure. The singer then directs his attention to love, which he claims has become "slashed and torn" by pressure. Despite the hopelessness of the situation, the singer dares to believe that love can help people change their lives, even those on the periphery of society, those on the edge of the night. The refrain of "Under Pressure" creates a sense of urgency that underscores the song's message.

Stop correcting him. Freddie is his nick and reference and that’s not his real name and unless you spell his real name wrong, then that would be a full error. It’s his nick, as you can spell Christy-Christi or whatever..my point is it’s not a big deal
