Seventh Heaven
INOHA Lyrics

Cuz oh the views will be nice
And the stories that we'll tell our friends
Will make 'em laugh until the party ends
Oh won't you stay for the ride
It's do or die
Let's turn this ten into eleven
And make a jump to seventh heavenShopping carts and chronic pain
I'm nine years over drinking age
Is this how mom said it would be
Cuz if so I've got sights to see
Strawberry fields and impossible heights
Lookin' for purpose and what I'll define
"Hope for the best" No I'm wastin' my time
Can't let these chances get out of my life
Once again, I won't be sittin'
And be livin' in the innocence
Watchin' others soar, as I descend the bottom sinkin' in
Waitin' for somethin' to happen
Oh won't you stay for the ride
Cuz oh the views will be nice
And the stories that we'll tell our friends
Will make 'em laugh until the party ends
Oh won't you stay for the ride
It's do or die
Let's turn this ten into eleven
And make a jump to seventh heaven
Minimum wage
Putting minimal effort
Could hold on for money
And waste my potential
Skin rotting further
Though I'm not a relicRelate with the elderly
Bones are upsetting
I try so hard
And it's just so much work
Hell I've slept in my car
For days and weeks, it hurts
That I can do so much
And never get that far
Yet still I'm pushing for something
I'm moving towards something
Wait
I'm sick of waiting for yall
I'm done with wasting my time
Don't got that much to live for
Let's go for one hell of a ride
I'm sick of waiting for yall
I'm done with wasting my time
Don't got that much to live for
Oh won't you stay for the ride
Cuz oh the views will be nice
And the stories that we'll tell our friends
Will make 'em laugh until the party ends
Oh won't you stay for the ride
It's do or die

And make a jump to seventh heaven

The lyrics of INOHA's "Seventh Heaven" encapsulate a yearning for meaningful experiences and a longing to fully embrace life despite the challenges and disillusionments that accompany adulthood. The opening lines suggest an invitation—a plea for someone to join in on what promises to be a thrilling and enriching journey. The imagery of "the views will be nice" and "stories that we'll tell" paints a picture of camaraderie and shared experiences that, while transient, create lasting memories. This reflects a desire for connection and the celebration of life’s moments, emphasizing that when shared, even the mundane can become significant and entertaining, especially in a party context where laughter symbolizes joy.
As the lyrics unfold, there’s a stark juxtaposition between nostalgia and harsh realities. The reference to "turning this ten into eleven" and making a leap to "seventh heaven" conveys a sense of urgency, a need to elevate experiences and find a greater purpose. This yearning is juxtaposed with vivid images of personal struggle— “shopping carts and chronic pain” and the reference to being "nine years over drinking age" signifies a deep awareness of responsibilities and the societal expectations that come with growing older. The desire to explore "strawberry fields" and seek "impossible heights" suggests an internal conflict between ambition and the grim realities of adult life, encapsulated in the line "Is this how mom said it would be?" This moment captures a common sentiment where dreams of youth clash with the starkness of adulthood.
Moreover, the lyrics confront issues of stagnation and existential dread amidst the pursuit of fulfillment. Phrases like "minimum wage" and "putting minimal effort" reveal a disillusionment with the workforce, suggesting a loss of potential and the feeling that one’s efforts are going unrewarded. The imagery of "skin rotting further" and relating to the elderly evokes a sense of decay and weariness, while also highlighting the disconnect between youthful aspirations and the mundane grind of daily obligations. This candid admittance of sleeping in a car and the acknowledgment of the struggle, showcases resilience but simultaneously encapsulates the frustrations and the bitterness of fighting against circumstances that seem unyielding and monotonous.
Ultimately, the overarching message in "Seventh Heaven" is one of defiance against inaction and the longing for transformation. The recurring refrain, "I'm sick of waiting for y'all," emphasizes a rejection of complacency and a call to seize the moment—an insistence on not allowing life to slip by in an uninspired daze. It’s a rallying cry for taking chances and living passionately in pursuit of happiness and adventure. The invitation to "join the ride" resonates as a metaphor for embracing life's unpredictability, urging both the listener and the invitees to break free from their constraints and share in life's exhilarating journey, underscoring that, despite the hardships, joy can be found when one dares to engage fully with their existence and those around them.

@BLINK.FOREVER013
This song is a masterpiece, No joke, I love this song. There is also the one by Hadal Ahbek, but this is the best song.
@Shaavi-SB
I found this song after my first ever band broke up and it killed me inside, as much as i wanted to love this song my life long dream had just been destroyed in one night. Years spent dreaming of shredding bass in a punk band had magically come true and 2 years of insane work, months of isolation, making and losing friends in between all that... just to make some songs we knew were cool and play in some basements, I was finally happy and could say i did something with my life for once, I kept a promise to myself from over 10 years ago. After crying at the bottom of some bottles, damn near relapsing and seeing my other friends band live again I felt like leaving for home and just breaking down. Setting up, tuning, playing, breaking down, and just being IN a band even through all the small and "boring" parts had become an essential part of my life and I NEEDED that high again, I couldn't lose it all. I got my act together and decided I'd have to get back on a stage no matter what. This song was extremely bittersweet for me and still is a reminder of a future with my found family that could've been but never will be. As I'm typing this my 2nd band is slowly being put together by myself and this time I'm going 10x as hard and 1000x further. Funny how summer-esque this song is and the craziest 2 years of my life started with a beach trip with some strangers...
Welp I've finally become the "story in the comment person". If anyone has read this far my only advice is to stay for the ride and make those stories that'll make em laugh :)
