The song "Rosa" by I Cosi is about the singer's desire for someone he cannot have, and his struggle to let go of that desire. In the first verse, he describes how he will come at night to reclaim what he cannot forget, what he cannot give up, which implies his longing for someone who is no longer with him. He wants to avoid seeing her in the daytime, so he chooses to come at night when she will be alone in her darkened room. The chorus addresses someone named Rosa, telling her not to be jealous if he does not look at her anymore and only thinks about the person he dreams of and who is "whiter than the moon and as beautiful as none.
The second verse continues describing the singer's yearning, as he can already see the situation in his mind's eye, in the eyes of the person he is talking to ("I already see it in your eyes"). He describes those eyes as big, painful, and bewitching. He knows the night and the winds from the east will come and, during it, he'll find a way to forget when the night has the scent of both of them. The latter part of the song repeats the chorus and signs off with a repetition of Rosa's name.
