Before the release of 3D, the band released an EP titled Green Light, Go! and a self titled compilation of demos before being signed to Sumerian Records, where they've since remained. They also released a few Pre-Production demos of songs that would later be featured on 3D. Shortly after the albums release, Zack Johnson would leave the band and temporarily be replaced by Chris Moore, who was also featured on the bands music videos for 3-D and What This Means To Me. Johnson returned after Moore left the band due to "artistic differences" and joined the band on Warped Tour 2010.
The band released their second full-length album The End of the World Party on February 22, 2011. The album is noticeably different from 3D as it's a lot less heavy and more pop punk sounding. They played Soundwave 2011 in Australia, supported We the Kings alongside VersaEmerge in the United Kingdom, and played on the 2011 AP Tour along with Conditions, VersaEmerge, Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows, and Black Veil Brides. The band also made its national TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live performing "Glow" and "What This Means to Me."
I See Stars joined the 2011 Scream It Like You Mean It tour supporting its headliners Breathe Carolina and Chiodos, and also featuring Mod Sun, The Color Morale, and The Air I Breathe.
I See Stars released their third full-length album, Digital Renegade, on March 13, 2012. They took a heavier, more hardcore route with this release, but they still retained that electronic feel, with synthesized clean and screamed vocals. It also features guest vocals by Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria on the track "Endless Sky," as well as guest vocals by Cassadee Pope of Hey Monday fame on the track "Electric Forest."
Before the release of their fourth album, New Demons, which released on October 22, 2013, the band exclusively premiered their first single for the album, Violent Bounce [People Like ¥øµ] on Alternative Press and played Ten Thousand Feet live during Warped Tour 2013. On August 27, 2013, the band announced their North American headlining tour Started From The Bottom Now We Here with The Word Alive, Crown the Empire, and guests Dayshell, Get Scared, and Palisades, which started on October 29 and ended on November 24.
On July 31, 2015, the band released an acoustic album titled Phases, which featured many of their older songs reimagined as acoustic songs along with a few cover songs that were also acoustic. Jimmy Gregerson would be kicked from the band due to unknown reasons and Zach Johnson was kicked from the band as well. Devin would replace Zach as the unclean vocalist and Andrew Oliver would be moved from drums to keyboards and synth. The bands fifth album, Treehouse , was released on June 17, 2016. This album, unlike their previous two, isn't very heavy and is more chill. Acoustic versions of some songs from the album were released on April 6, 2018.
After a 5 year hiatus and Instagram account wipe, the band finally teased that they'd be releasing new material soon. According to the band on Twitter, the highly anticipated sixth album will feature more than 12 songs.
Mobbin' Out
I See Stars Lyrics

I'm laying my head down
I try to smile
But I'm weighing myself down
I'm losing faith everyday that I'm runnin with you
I'm losing faith everyday
I will not go
I will not go
I'll shine my brighter lights
If I walk with you
A life of second glances
I gave you hope
You buried your chances
Aren't you the one who said you bled for this?
No you're the one who left in the first place
How can you just stand there with a straight face telling me
You did the best that you could
I'm giving up on you
But I'm not giving up on me
Your horse is higher than a skyscraper
Your shadow is starting to fade
Giving up on you
But I'm not giving up on me
I see a light
I think I'm gonna make it out
I'll miss the times
We didn't even have a doubt
The things you said disappear when it's convenient for you
It's time for you to do the same
I will not go
I'll make it through the night
I will not go
I'll shine my brighter lights
I watched words fall out of your face
Always so numb to the impact you made
Tried so hard to make you see
That you've become invisible to me
I will not go
I'll make it through the night
I will not go
I'll shine my brighter lights
The lyrics of "Mobbin' Out" by I See Stars touch on themes of disappointment, loss, and inner strength. The singer seems to be addressing someone who has let them down or betrayed their trust, but they ultimately decide to take control of their own life. The song begins with the singer feeling weighed down and losing faith in their companion, but ultimately decides to carry on and even shine brighter than before. The chorus repeats the phrase "I will not go," emphasizing the singer's determination to persevere.
There is a sense of growing resentment towards the other person in the second verse, as the singer recalls times when they tried to make this person understand how they were feeling. However, it seems that their efforts fell on deaf ears and eventually, the singer had enough. The bridge is a confrontation of sorts, with the singer calling out the other person's insincerity and refusal to take responsibility.
Throughout the lyrics, there is an underlying struggle to maintain hope and self-confidence despite the circumstances. The reference to a "horse higher than a skyscraper" and a fading shadow imply that the other person may have had an inflated ego or sense of superiority, but their influence is waning. By the end of the song, the singer seems to have finally found an inner light that they can use to navigate their own path forward.

It always saddens me when diversity isn't accepted in the "alternative" scene or whatever you want to call it. A band can grow. A band can change. If they didn't, they'd be stuck in the same spot with no creativity, and y'all would be complaining about that. Personally, I like it. I like seeing a band do different things. I like seeing a band adapt after losing a member. Sometimes I may prefer an old style over a new, but I can at least appreciate what they're doing.
I think some people need to remember that a band can, and is very entitled to make changes, subtle or big. And if you don't like it, there's no reason to be negative about it. Just move on from it instead of bitching about things you can't control.

@JustJustin agreed, I wouldn’t imagine they prefer the change, but they knew the market would

It depends on the band's reasoning with, let's say, changing their style to something softer.
There is a difference between growth and a, "We are gonna go light to grow the fan base:" (A cash grab)
Growth would be something like, Amity Affliction and/or The Devil Wears Prada(who always experiments with different sounds anyhow), as to where bands like I See Stars and Issues dropped down into a more pop sound, which seems more like the latter of the reasons I gave, being: "We are gonna go light to grow the fanbase."
That is why I can justify people being mad at bands like Issues and/or I See Stars.
It doesn't seem like growth, it seems like a cheap attempt at appealing to the mainstream masses.

indeed. very well spoken. it's keeping good music alive. as we all see in 2020. this is more accepted now and bands such as i see stars helped and struggled for that to happen. i still love this album. it's aged well even

Everyone is saying this is trash. They've obviously learned from their past mistakes. This song is exceptionally good, and I See Stars will once again rise to the top. I dig Devins screams.
Eazy Brothers
The screamer was the best he had good drops scream nd playing he knew hs shit nd I believe this band will be once again like before nd more best if the screamer came back

You hear it live you would disagree. I saw them at warped with just Devin who was ATTEMPTING to do Filth Friends Unite (one of their best songs ever) and he just couldnt keep up at all and it sounded like complete utter trash. My ears started to bleed and I had to move on to a different band.
