No sé preparar café
Me conoces bien
Y sin ti todo es tan aburrido
El cielo esta cansado ya de ver
La lluvia caer
Y cada día que pasa es uno más
Parecido a ayer
No encuentro forma alguna de
Olvidarte porque
Seguir amándote es inevitable
Siempre supe es mejor
Cuando hay que hablar de dos
Empezar por uno mismo
Ya sabrás la situación
Aquí todo está peor
Pero al menos aún respiro
No tienes que decirlo
No vas a volver
Te conozco bien
Ya buscaré qué hacer contigo
El cielo está cansado ya de ver
La lluvia caer
Y cada día que pasa es uno más
Parecido a ayer
No encuentro forma alguna de
Olvidarte porque
Seguir amándote es inevitable
Siempre supe que es mejor
Cuando hay que hablar de dos
Empezar por uno mismo
The song "Inevitable" by Idaira is a confession of flaws and a declaration of love, with the underlying message that despite imperfections and hardships, love is inevitable. The lyrics start with the confession of not being good at making coffee or understanding football, trivial imperfections that are often seen as embarrassing. The chorus highlights the strong emotions the singer has for someone despite the lack of reciprocation, with the line "Nadie piensa en ti como lo hago yo" (no one thinks of you the way I do), implying unrequited love.
The second verse reveals more personal weaknesses, such as not sleeping before ten, not showering on Sundays, and crying once a month, especially when it's cold. These confessions communicate vulnerability and intimacy, as well as the idea that the singer is not trying to hide their flaws. The last part of the verse is a plea for connection, saying that everything is dull without the person they love.
The bridge of the song repeats the message that loving someone is inevitable, despite the circumstances, and that forgetting them is impossible. The song ends with a bitter-sweet tone, acknowledging that the situation may not change, but there is still hope.
Overall, the song depicts a nuanced and honest portrayal of love, with all its imperfections, insecurities, and difficulties. It shows that even if everything else is flawed, love can make life worth living.
