Azalea's debut studio album, The New Classic (2014), peaked among the top five on several charts worldwide, but received mixed reviews from within the industry. The album eventually topped the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, making Azalea the first non-American female rapper to reach the top of the chart. The New Classic was preceded by Azalea's debut single "Work" and chart-topping single "Fancy" (featuring Charli XCX), which hit the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Azalea was featured on Ariana Grande's 2014 single "Problem", which peaked at number two behind "Fancy". With these hits, Azalea became the second musical act (behind The Beatles) act to rank at number one and two simultaneously on the Hot 100 with their debut appearances on the chart. In addition, she achieved three top ten hits simultaneously on the Hot 100 with the aforementioned songs and the album's fifth single, "Black Widow" (featuring Rita Ora), which debuted later that year.
After her debut album, Azalea released a slew of singles to build anticipation for her intended second album, Digital Distortion. However, a series of conflicts with her label, as well as personal conflicts, resulted in the project being cancelled. Consequently, Azalea switched labels, releasing the EP Survive the Summer (2018) under Island Records. Further disagreements led to Azalea becoming an independent artist and creating her own label, Bad Dreams, through a distribution deal with Empire. Her second album, In My Defense, was released in 2019, followed by another EP, Wicked Lips, that same year. Before taking a hiatus from music, Azalea released her third studio album, The End of an Era, in August 2021.
Azalea's accolades include two American Music Awards, three Billboard Music Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, a People's Choice Award, four Teen Choice Awards and four Grammy Award nominations. Azalea's official YouTube channel has accumulated more than 3.4 billion views, with 15 music videos receiving over 100 million views on Vevo.

I got twenty racks on my new jeans
I got ten more in my blue jeans
I walk in then I turn up
Pimp tight liked I'm permed up
I heard broke bitches talkin' like they rollin' like us
Man, these bitches sound shermed up
And these bitches be mad at us
Claim that shit
I can bang that shit
Fuck me, fuck a ten, I'mma train that bitch
I hope you ain't wife that bitch
'Cause I know a couple homies that'll pipe that bitch
Lights out
Put you in a night gown
And your bitch chose me because you walk out with
My ass sick and my drinks mixed
Say I'm sick, I say no shit
Let a flow drip, Now its a slow sip
And all my flows is slow piff
Closed case, I'm killin' shit
Heard your flow, not feeling shit
My brand right and I'm on one and these bitches don't want none
(These bitches don't want none)
(These bitches don't want none)
I shine right 'cause I grind, bitch hated on mine
My heart's in it, I'm authentic, it's clear to see it's my time
I shine right 'cause I grind, bitch hated on mine
My heart's in it, I'm authentic, it's clear to see it's my time
I shine right 'cause I grind, bitch hated on mine
My heart's in it, I'm authentic, it's clear to see it's my time
I shine right 'cause I grind, bitch hated on mine
My heart's in it, I'm authentic, it's clear to see it's my time
In "Bac 2 Tha Future," Iggy Azalea boasts about her wealth and success, highlighting the changes in her life since becoming famous. She begins the song by describing her expensive clothing, saying she has "twenty racks on my new jeans" and "ten more in my blue jeans." Throughout the rest of the song, she talks about how she has worked hard to get where she is and how others are jealous of her success. She claims that "broke bitches" are "talkin' like they rollin' like us" and that they are "mad" because they cannot keep up.
In the song's chorus, Iggy again emphasizes her success, singing "I shine right 'cause I grind." She exalts her authenticity and originality, saying "My heart's in it, I'm authentic," and that her success is due to her own hard work and merit, as opposed to any luck or trickery. The song ends with Iggy boasting about her talent and success, saying "Closed case, I'm killin' shit" and claiming that her time in the spotlight has arrived.
Overall, "Bac 2 Tha Future" is a confident and unapologetic celebration of Iggy Azalea's success and achievement, and a dismissal of her detractors and critics.
