STRAIGHT AHEAD
Ignite Lyrics

Your wrong
Been trying to put us down
For too long
I'm tired of your negative ways
Muscle head
We'll fall on better days
Straight ahead
Who tries and tries
He wants to cut you down
To his size
Keep your head up high
Guard your grill
Believe in yourself
No one else will
Break the walls...
That are in your mind
Don't let them pull you down
No more wasting time
It's hard to see life through...
Bruised black eyes
Keep pushing for your best...
Straight ahead
The lyrics of Ignite's song "Straight Ahead" are about perseverance and resilience in the face of adversity. The singer is addressing someone who has been trying to bring them down with negative comments, calling them a hypocrite and a muscle head. Despite the attempts to cut them down to size, the singer encourages the listener to keep their head up high, guard their grill (protect themselves), and believe in themselves, as no one else will.
The chorus, "Straight ahead, don't you mind the fool who tries and tries," emphasizes the importance of focusing on one's own goals and not wasting time on those who seek to bring them down. The singer urges the listener to break down the walls in their mind and not let anyone pull them down. The lyric "It's hard to see life through bruised black eyes" suggests that the singer has faced their own share of hardships, but still believes in the importance of pushing forward.
Overall, the song's message is one of resilience in the face of adversity. It encourages listeners to stay true to themselves and their goals, despite any obstacles or negative comments they may receive.
