I search for any help or assistance available to me from those close by.

Eternal Father, give me the strength to stand up and fight
I invoke the power of God to fuel my mental and physical strength to battle the obstacles before me.

Give me an inner presence, somewhere way down deep
I plead to have an innate sense of guidance and wisdom from within myself.

To fight this dark inside, forgive this wayward sheep
I request the ability to combat the negative feelings within myself and seek forgiveness for any wrongful actions I may have committed.

Born the son of a sinner, my credentials are rather grave
Because my lineage is of a person who has committed misdeeds in the past, my reputation is questionable.

Just a covenant in blood that His only son gave
The promise of redemption and forgiveness was made through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

I question whether anyone can save me in my time of need.

Give me strength and versatility?
I request the ability to be strong in the face of adversity and adapt to any challenges that may come my way.

Is there someone who'll hear my plea
I wonder if anyone will listen to my requests for help.

And take sin away from me?
I implore that someone remove the burden of sin from my life.
