Three O'Clock Blues
Ike Turner & Jackie Brenston Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Now here it is three o' clock in the mornin'
And I can't even close my eyes
It's three o' clock in the mornin', baby
I can't even close my eyes
Well, you know I can't find my baby
I can't be satisfied

Well, now looked around me
And my baby, she can't be found
I've looked around me, people
My baby, she can't be found
Well, you know that if I don't find my baby
People, I'm goin' down under the golden ground

Goodbye everybody
I do believe this is the end

Goodbye everybody
I do believe this is the end

Tina Turner's son has died and she's still exploiting her Black family and beating the dead Ike Turner horse:
RIP CRAIG TURNER đź’ś
THE BODY OF CRAIG TURNER WAS FOUND ON JULY 3, 2018, JUST 1 DAY BEFORE TINA TURNER --- HIS FAMOUS MOTHER'S 5TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TO A MAN ONLY TWO YEARS OLDER THAN HER SON. Why is Tina Turner blaming Ike Turner for her son’s apparent suicide???? That's a ridiculously brotten thing to do!!! She stayed with Ike for 20 years and had plenty of time to get out of that relationship. She spread Craig's ashes at sea and continues to send blind press releases stating that Craig was an emotional kid. This is a reference to her 2005 interview on Oprah where Tina said Craig was traumatized by her domestic disputes with Ike. She's letting that weak sentiment stand and that's dirty.

She should blame herself for exploiting her family in these dreadful books, films, interviews documentaries and stage productions. Now she plans to write an ode to her deceased son in this miserable London Tina Turner musical. Who sings and dances to domestic abuse and suicide????

Ike Turner said in an August 1985 interview with Spin Magazine that Tina was hurting their sons with her kiss and tell exploits of their 20 year union. He complained that Tina played favorites with the children and was “convincing white people that she only cares about one of her kids, the one [Craig] she had before me.” Ike continued saying, “The others, especially our son [Ronnie], she’s saying she never wanted him, that she didn’t want to mother him. That hurt me, man. When we were together we never treated any of them differently. Not Ronnie, Craig, or the two sons I had before Tina [Ike Jr. and Michael]. Since we broke up, she’s saying that Craig is the only one she wanted to mother. This is the only time I’ve really been mad at her.”
Sickening.
RIP Craig and Ike.

BluesUrbano

Indeed, Ike & Tina and their extensive family history has so many layers, that is not fair to judge just from one side, or even worst, a movie.

Sister Rati

@BluesUrbano no --- not fair to judge Ike from a movie. His music and career do deserve much more credit. 👑🥰
