Overall Meaning

In "Sasayaka na Koto," Iku sings about finding joy in the little things in life, even when things aren't going smoothly. The first verse talks about the feeling of a fresh start, like a new day dawning. The imagery of the "tamago tsuru" (eggs beaten until smooth) and the "sukāto hira hira" (skirt floating in the wind) evoke a sense of lightness and hopefulness. The chorus reinforces this idea, urging the listener to "go now to love" and to find happiness in touching the other person's heart, even if there are some clouds in the sky.

The second verse is about perseverance in the face of difficulty. The phrase "kokoro kiri kiri" suggests a heart that feels like it's being sliced up, but still, the person keeps going even when things don't go well ("kekkyoku umaku ika nai toki ni"). The chorus 2 encourages the listener to keep singing and to let their voice echo throughout their body. Even when we need to take a break ("sukoshi dake oto o hazushite shimatte"), we can still smile and enjoy the moment ("hohoenda").
