Btw, the easiest way to get a hose over a barb that is really tight is to heat a cup of water extremely hot and dunk the tubing in the hot water for a minute. It will soften the the hose and make it a lot easier to get over the barb.

While you are working under the hood with radiators, fuel, clutch fluid, wiring, etc why not remove the hood? Just so you don't mess up the hood? Or because it's hard to line back up? It's not as in the way as one that opens the normal way I suppose.
