Hombre Solitario
Ilegales Lyrics

Ha llegado a la ciudad
Todos le odiaron
Desde que llegó
Hombre solitario
Tengo un regalo para tí
Una bala en mi revólver
Soy un viejo policía
Defiendo el orden y la ley
Ese hombre misterioso
Es un peligro "pa" la ley
Hombre solitario
Tengo un regalo para tí
Una bala en mi revolver
Está esperando "pa" salir
El hombre solitario
Vaya una decepción
Resultó ser un pobre hombre
Que trabajaba de peón
In Ilegales's song Hombre Solitario, the lyrics narrate the story of a lone man who comes to a city where he is met with hostility and hate. The character is mysterious and appears to be a danger to the established order and law. The lyrics describe this man as being the cause of concern for a police officer who is protecting the peace of the city. It's revealed later in the song, that the man was just a poor man who worked hard for a living.
The character of the lonely man is a metaphorical representation of an individual who doesn't fit into society's predetermined conventions. The man's arrival in the city is likened to an intrusion that is not welcomed, as the lyrics state that "todos le odiaron desde que llegó", meaning everyone hated him since he arrived. This could refer to individuals who don't conform to societal standards and are consequently ostracized.
The lyrics paint a picture of the police officer as someone who is trying to preserve the law and order but views anyone different from the norm as a threat. Although the man is seen as a danger to society at first, it turns out that he is just a peón, a worker, who is struggling like many others. The song could be seen as a commentary on how society judges and ostracizes outsiders without understanding them or their circumstances.
