Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Imarhan's song Achinkad are in the Tamasheq language, which is spoken by the Tuareg people of the Sahara desert. The song tells the story of a group of Imarhanet (young men) who are riding their camels through the desert. The first line, "Ehad ehdid odwa," means "One by one, they set out on their journey." The next two lines, "Ad adwin etraness, Achal ed afo," describe the beauty of the desert landscape and the challenge of traveling through it. The group comes across a well, and the next two lines, "Ad agloun imarhanet, Awindeur achinkad ifalan aranet," mean "The Imarhanet gather, and discuss where to go next."

The rest of the song describes the Imarhanet's journey through the desert, with mentions of sand dunes, mountains, and other natural features. The chorus, "Akim oulhin imar hi derhaness, Imar hi tarhaness," means "The Imarhanet move on, always moving on." The song celebrates the Tuareg tradition of nomadic life and the beauty of the desert.

LYRICS. English
The Gazelle

When night falls,
the stars disappear.
When day breaks,
those who love her
disappear.

This is the story of a gazelle
who is forced to abandon her child.
Danger has come to her homeland.
Peace no longer resides there.
Her enemies are legion.

It’s a scramble,
in which her love was lost.
My heart remains, seeking its desire,
Searching for the one it loves.

Sdravsdvuy Inna! Ponimayesh shto eto pryedlozhyeniye na konyets skazhit?:
"Akim oulhin imar hi derhaness
Imar hi tarhaness."
It is every time I hear it, near to rise the water in my eyes, but I can't help it.
More addictive is only the hymn to the feminine love. Do you know this song?:
Id islegh
If you are a spouse or a mother, you will like it first and then you will love it, it will touch you, very deeply, I am quite sure!
I wrote this part of my comment in English so others can find "the" hymn too... ;-)
I ga daghwan Isa al Baraka! (Blogodaryou tyebye Gospodi nac!)

Déki sallam! T'as parfaitement raison.

الغزالة = Achinkad
