After a long period of re-consolidation, after writing and rewriting, composing and singing together, we have a vision of our new album; we feel its shape, margins, color, and we are looking forward to finally see it and share it with you at the end of October 2014.
The band formed in Timisoara, RO, in the fall of 1995five hardcore fans united into what is now Implant Pentru Refuz (IPR) - one of the first Romanian hardcore bands. Some of the members had some musical experience, the rest just had the desire to create something "strong".
The five that started it all are:
Octavian Horvath(Vita) - vocal
Tudor Vinereanu(Parintele) - guitar
Cristian Miclea(Masi) - guitar
Gabi Papay(Pupilu) - bass
Adi Iacob(Tzava) - drums
Their first album was "Implant pentru refuz", an album which they recorded during a week in Arad at Pacific Sound. Only then they became aware of their sound: "At rehearsals we had no idea what we sounded like ; this always happens when you don't have any instruments".
The album was released in May 1996 under East & Art label(Bucuresti). From March to May 1997 they recorded the second album called "Permis port siucidere"(Voxstar StudioB, Timisoara). Their lineup hadn't suffered any changes until then. They recorded over night because popular Romanian music was recorded in the same studio by daylight.
In June 1997 they released "Permis port sinucidere" (Post-suicide permit) under the label Voxstar Rocka-Rolla. Afterwards, 'Masi' leaves the band to continue his studies in Canada. A dark period for the band followed, although they were still writing songs. Soon after 'Masi's' departure, 'Parintele' Tudor leaves (for studies in Ireland).
Fortunately, Szasz Istvan(Orca) manages to take their places and succeeds in bringing along new textures to the band's sound.
Between November and December 1998, they start recording their third album in ShowFactory studio, Timisoara.
In March 1999 IPR releases their third album "Culori"(ShowFactory Rocka-Rolla).
In summer 2000 Implant pentru refuz found themselves in the familiar situation of not having a guitarist, as 'Orca' decides to work in Hungary.
After a series of long searches, failures and many drunkards they found Valentin Popescu(Freaky), who is still in the band at the present time.
2001...history doesn't repeat itself. They get a contract with a prestigious label, MediaPro Music.
From there on IPR have had a series of concertis as happenings to bigger US bands like: Megadeth (15 - 06 - 2005), 25 ta life(16 - 02 -2006), Sick of It All(22 - 04 - 2006) and Deftones(25 - 06 - 2006).
IPR have become a regular to romanian alternative music events such as: Fanfest(Rosia Montana), Rock la Mures(Periam), Stufstock(Vama Veche), FanFest (Rosia Montana)
On 9 of June 2007 Implant Pentru Refuz released to public Monolith, their 5th studio album.
In November 2009, Implant Pentru Refuz released to public their 6th studio album - Otheroot

Propaganda
Implant pentru refuz Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The lyrics of Implant pentru Refuz's song "Propaganda" talk about the importance of being true to oneself and rising above the mediocrity that surrounds us. The song addresses the need for individuals to break free from their mental imprisonment and find a way out. It emphasizes the importance of self-belief and courage in declaring war against lies, stupidity, and power.
The first stanza of the lyrics emphasizes the fact that merely existing is not enough. To rise above the average, one must be true to oneself and find a reason to laugh. It talks about the importance of believing in oneself and being a part of a minority that is willing to take a stand. Despite living in a world that constrains us mentally, there is still a chance to revoke that situation and find a way out. It is the first step towards reclaiming what is lost.
The chorus of the song, "PROPAGANDA suntem noi," translates to "We are the propaganda." The lyrics highlight how propaganda has been used as a weapon to manipulate people's thoughts and beliefs for ages. It questions why people fail to learn from history and continue to make the same mistakes repeatedly. It calls out the lies and broken promises that have resulted in people's bloodshed and screams from their graves.
