Lost At Sea

Are you a starter are you ready yet?
Are you alone and out of mind?
Are you alone or are you doing time?
So hold on
There's a time
When you think that this will be all mine
Felt the same
Sometimes
Oh I
Now I'm standing on a boat
And It's sending me right home
I don't know where the hell I should be
Now I'm standing undercover
And I don't want to suffer
And I'm feeling like I'm lost at sea
Are we a symbol of regret
It's just a moment that we won't forget
Are you afraid and out of line?
Are you afraid or are you doing fine?
So hold on
There's a time
When you think that this will be all mine
Oh I've
Felt the same
Sometimes
Oh I
Now I'm standing on a boat
And It's sending me right home
I don't know where the hell I should be
Now I'm standing undercover
And I don't want to suffer
And I'm feeling like I'm lost at sea
Now I'm standing on a boat
And It's sending me right home
I don't know where the hell I should be
Now I'm standing undercover
And I don't want to suffer
And I'm feeling like I'm lost at sea
No I'm feeling like I'm lost at sea
No I'm feeling like I'm lost at sea
The lyrics to "Lost At Sea" by In/Side convey a sense of confusion and uncertainty, as the singer questions the current state of their relationship with the person they are addressing. The opening lines are full of inquiry, as if the singer is trying to determine whether they truly know the other person or not, and whether that person is ready to take action in some way. The repeated refrain of "hold on" suggests that both the singer and the other person are experiencing some kind of emotional turmoil, and that a better time may be on the horizon.
The bridge of the song moves into a more introspective space, as the singer describes their own feelings of being lost and unsure about their direction in life. The boat imagery suggests that the singer is adrift in some way, as if they are at the mercy of the tides and have no control over their own fate. The repeated phrase "I don't know where the hell I should be" reinforces this sense of disorientation, while the final line - "And I'm feeling like I'm lost at sea" - brings the song full circle to its opening theme.
Overall, "Lost At Sea" is a song that captures the feeling of being caught between two worlds, unsure of your own place in either one. It's a powerful expression of the human struggle to find meaning and purpose in life, and the fear that we may never discover it.
