Their debut album Your World on Fire was released January 6th 2009. Their second album, Imperial was released on June 15, 2010.
In Fear and Faith was founded in 2006 by members Noah Slifka, Mehdi Niroomand, Tyler McElhaney, Jarred DeArmas, and Ramin Niroomand. A year after recording their self-titled demo, founding vocalist Jarred DeArmas left the group and Tyler "Telle" Smith was employed as the band's clean vocalist along with Cody Anderson as the band's unclean vocalist. They replaced guitarist Davey Owens with Noah Slifka while keyboardist, Michael Guy left the band completely without a member in his replacement. With this line-up, they recorded their second EP, Voyage and released it via iTunes on December 17, 2007. Met with positive acclaim, the EP attracted the attention of Rise Records, which they were signed to the following year.

Relapse Collapse
In Fear and Faith Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
It’s giving me what I desire.
And I desire to find the words you need to hear.
Kill. Kill. Kill. Your demons. Face. Face. Face. Your fears.
Fight. Fight. With no discretion. Die. Die. Die. Alone.
I am the messenger; I am the one you trust with your last breath.
And you’re missing the point.
You’re missing the point of these words.
I hope you see your own life flash before your eyes.
And find that point, in your life when you realize.
That there’s something that you’ve lost.
And something went terribly wrong.
With your last breath, until your lungs collapse.
I am the messenger; I am the one you trust with your last breath.
And I’m betting you’ll find, I’m betting you’ll find a way to.
Why aren’t you trying to escape?
You say you need a great purpose
I say you need to see what’s coming
The opening lyrics of In Fear and Faith's song, "Relapse Collapse," speak to the idea of bringing back "hollow reputations." This could refer to the idea of trying to revive a reputation that has lost meaning or substance. The singer seems to be drawn to this idea, as it is "giving me what I desire." The desire in question is to find the words that someone needs to hear. The next few lines are forceful, with a repetition of the phrase "kill your demons, face your fears." The singer is urging someone to fight and to face their fears head on, with no hesitation or discretion. The final lines of the first verse are particularly striking, with the singer stating that they are the one that someone will trust with their last breath. This seems to suggest that the singer holds a great deal of power and authority over this person, and that they are responsible for helping them face their fears.
The second verse continues this theme of urgency and forceful language. The singer tells the listener that they are missing the point of their words, and that they have caused blood to be on their hands. The imagery of their own life "flashing before their eyes" suggests that the consequences of their actions are catching up with them. The singer urges them to find the point in their life where things went wrong, and to take responsibility for their actions. The final lines of the song are particularly ominous, with the singer again referencing their authority as "the one you trust with your last breath." The listener is urged to find a way to escape their situation, and to see what is coming.
