Their debut album Your World on Fire was released January 6th 2009. Their second album, Imperial was released on June 15, 2010.
In Fear and Faith was founded in 2006 by members Noah Slifka, Mehdi Niroomand, Tyler McElhaney, Jarred DeArmas, and Ramin Niroomand. A year after recording their self-titled demo, founding vocalist Jarred DeArmas left the group and Tyler "Telle" Smith was employed as the band's clean vocalist along with Cody Anderson as the band's unclean vocalist. They replaced guitarist Davey Owens with Noah Slifka while keyboardist, Michael Guy left the band completely without a member in his replacement. With this line-up, they recorded their second EP, Voyage and released it via iTunes on December 17, 2007. Met with positive acclaim, the EP attracted the attention of Rise Records, which they were signed to the following year.

You Already Know You're a Goner
In Fear and Faith Lyrics

Breathe deep, the smoke is on its way.
Look west, the ocean is calling.
Follow. The air that still remains.
Oh, Can you feel it, the fire is burning.
Oh, can you taste it. the smoke in the air...
That fills up your lungs.
These walls are coming down. this is our time.
I feel the heat is rising. Do you feel the burn?
I watched your body turn to ashes, and get carried away.
I have seen the ashes of the undead. It pulls me in.
I will be the last to retreat.
And it will be consuming you.
I know it seems like forever.
Until you let the ashes overcome your spirit.
And I know about you.
The seasons will fade to grey, we won't be saved.
You don't need a knife to cut to my heart.
This is our last chance to fall apart.
You don't need a flame, to die from the burn
because....
You already know you're a goner.
Stay close, the flames are coming in.
Breathe deep, the smoke is on its way.
Look west, the ocean is calling.
Follow the air. The air that still remains.
"You Already Know You're a Goner" by In Fear and Faith is a song that deals with the theme of desperation and the inevitability of death. The song begins with the singer urging the listener to stay close while the world around them is burning. He asks them to take deep breaths as the smoke fills their lungs and to look towards the ocean for guidance. The chorus talks about feeling the fire burning and the smoke filling up the air as they are all caught in the flames. The singer admits to watching someone die before him and get carried away as ashes.
In the second verse, the lyricist talks about seeing the ashes of the undead and being the last one to retreat. The ending of the song is a statement on the inevitability of death where the singer talks about the seasons fading away and no one being saved. The ending lines, "You don't need a knife to cut to my heart. This is our last chance to fall apart. You don't need a flame, to die from the burn because you already know you're a goner," remind the listeners that death is inescapable and there is no use fighting it.
