During the band's early years, In Flames had a varying group of musicians recording with them, including many session musicians. By the release of Colony (1999), the group had established a stable lineup. Their sixth studio album Reroute to Remain (2002) showed the band moving toward a newer style of music that moved further away from melodic death metal and closer to alternative metal. This decision was criticized by fans of the group's heavier metal sound; however, it increased the band's mainstream audience and bolstered their album sales. As of 2008, In Flames has sold over two million records worldwide.
Since the band's inception, In Flames have released thirteen studio albums, three EPs, and two live DVDs, their latest release being their thirteenth studio album I, the Mask in 2019. In Flames has been nominated for three Grammis Awards. They won two of these nominations; one for Soundtrack to Your Escape (2004) in the "Hard Rock/Metal of the Year" category, and one nomination for their following album Come Clarity (2006) in the same category.

the fight for our lives?
Scream out loud
THIS IS OUR HOUSE
THIS IS OUR HOUSE
Have you heard the call?
From the rising sun
Until the day is done
Do you hear the call?
This is our time
We won't back down
From the rising sun
Until the day is done
Do you hear the call?
This is our time
We won't back down
No we won't back down
This is our time
I hear the sound
Of a thousand drums
Would you join me in the fight
The fight for our lives
Scream out loud this is our house
Have you heard the call?
Something must be done
From the top of the mountains
To the deepest below
Do you hear the call?
This is our time
We won't back down
No we won't back down
This is our time
I hear the sound
Of a thousand drums
Would you join me in the fight
The fight for our lives
Scream out loud this is our house
Would you join me in the fight

In Flames song House is a powerful and motivating call to action. The lyrics are an invitation for listeners to join the fight for their lives, to take a stand and claim their place in the world. The song speaks to a shared sense of purpose and identity, urging people to unite and work together to achieve their goals. The repeated refrain of "This is our house" is both an affirmation of ownership and a rallying cry, a reminder that we are all responsible for the world we inhabit and that we must fight to protect it.
The song's driving rhythms and intense energy only serve to heighten its impact. The pounding drums and distorted guitars create a sense of urgency and momentum, reflecting the determination and passion of the message. The lyrics also incorporate natural imagery, referencing the "rising sun" and the "top of the mountains" as well as the "deepest below." These references serve to connect the struggle of the individual with that of the natural world, emphasizing the importance of environmentalism and sustainability.
Overall, In Flames' House is an anthem of empowerment and collective action, urging listeners to stand up for what they believe in and fight for their place in the world.

Observa dor
Você já ouviu a chamada?
Envolve-nos um e todos
Do sol nascente até o dia acabar
Você ouve a chamada?
Este é o nosso tempo, não vamos voltar atrás
Do sol nascente até o dia acabar
Você ouve a chamada?
Este é o nosso tempo, não vamos voltar atrás
Não, não vamos voltar atrás
Este é o nosso tempo, eu ouço o som
De mil tambores
Você se juntaria a mim na luta?
A luta pelas nossas vidas
Grite bem alto: esta é a nossa casa!
Você já ouviu a chamada?
Algo deve ser feito
Do topo das montanhas até o mais profundo abaixo
Você ouve a chamada?
Este é o nosso tempo, não, não vamos voltar atrás
Este é o nosso tempo, eu ouço o som
De mil tambores
Você se juntaria a mim na luta?
A luta pelas nossas vidas
Grite bem alto: esta é a nossa casa!

Grite bem alto: esta é a nossa casa!
Por favor, junte-se a mim na luta

Filmed at Biloxi collesium December 3rd 2018. I was there and it was awesome. In flames is still good even if they're changing style a little

@Thomas M a litte? LOL XD

No thanks, I prefer Moonshield, Morphing Into Primal or even Drifter than this. As a fan I'm disappointed with '(This is Our) House' and with In Flames as a (swedish melodic death) metal band.

@Evil Skeletor if you're a normie and not a cult fan then yeah. The change wasn't all that fast. Also I was at the concert in the video. The lightest song they played was paralyzed and I like that song. They didn't even play come clarity. Hell they led off with colony and it was epic. Definitely one of the best concerts I've been too. They're act was also better than breaking Benjamin's that night in my opinion.

I like this song a lot more now that it has been confirmed that it was meant to be on Battles originally. Context is everything, and In Flames albums always have a consistent mood all the way through. This track is good, it just doesn't thematically work at all on I The Mask. It works with Battles' atmosphere.

Didnt knew that, actually makes more sense. Still... why wouldnt they add Not Alone instead? I mean... its kinda similar musically and 10 times better lyrically

I love all their albums. And to be honest i really enjoy this. It might not be the old in flames that everyone loves but its what they wanted to do. While doing things for fans is great, if they aren't making music that makes them happy then there is no reason to make it. I'm just grateful that they still make music after this long. Great song guys! \m/

I am not ashamed to say this is my favorite out of all the singles from their new album they've released so far.
