As other people have said, this is such a happy quilt. I love your color choices. The design of the tree trunks is really cute. It adds to the whimsical feeling of the whole pattern. I don't know if you said how big the quilt will be when finished. Would you consider it a baby quilt size or a lap quilt or a wall hanging? In any case, it will be adorable.

Hi Teri! Yes you can definitely use this for the sugaridoo sampler blocks. But I most like this technique when I'm making the same block multiple times. If I'm only making one of each I prefer tea bag paper.

Such a great video. I’ve never paper pieced anything before and I actually understood what you were doing!!! Great teacher.
I guess it’s quicker and easier to do it this way than cut the pieces to the exact size needed for each piece when you first cut out the pieces!!! There are lots of ways to make a quilt and this is the paper piecing method.
Love your videos. So much fun.
Thanks for all the details. This looks like fun. I would definitely do on a smaller project to begin with since it would be my first one.

Irene, you said in the video that you can't get freezer paper in your country but can't you order it from Amazon? I know they sell massive rolls and since you do so much paper piecing it might be best if not they also have the regular box. I have 2 questions for you, what kind of quilts did you make before paper piecing? I know that your machine is a Janome but what kind. Merry Christmas to you and your family I know Jules will be so excited for his first real Christmas.

Hi Angela, thank you! Yes I do order the large rolls from Amazon as well. Just funny that we can't buy it at a supermarket. I started making some smaller baby quilts with simple squared blocks, and a baby quilt with some houses. But pretty soon I fell in love with paper piecing. I have a Janome 8900 memory craft 8900. Happy New Year!

In the U.S., we can get this freezer paper in the supermarkets. I just bought some at Walmart, after watching your video on how to paper piece, using it. (Thanks!😉)
