Manifesto
In The Midst Of Lions Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Dear God,
I am declaring myself as an instrument...
Dear God,
I am declaring myself as an instrument to be used at your will.
Use me to fight in the war against the evil contained in this world...
Evil contained in this world.
I see so much wickedness.
It surrounds me.
It surrounds me.
Pull me up from this ugly mess.
Do not let me falter.
Pull me up from this ugly mess.
Do not let me falter.

Pull me up from this ugly mess.
Do not let me falter.

Been checking out a whole bunch of these newer Christian Death Metal and finally something that is actually musical. Heard "Impending Doom" and was bored to death. Then I heard "I built the cross" and it just sounded like a mess. Not everything has to be sweeped. To anyone with ears to hear, if you're going to play in any genre it has to be musical. Meaning that as a musicians and as people we need to become selfless in front of our creator, so he can use us as vessel when he's ready.

you realise that it's really only metal heads that do that? how many rockers do you see saying that the only good rock was from the beatles and all the others. it's only people who bow down to 70's and 80's metal. honestly, i enjoy them both. and they're both really good forms of music. except your favorite genre as a whole and have appreciation for what they're doing. it's a lot more complicated than power chords and blues scale solos.
