Say... non...
Tu saignes
Un signe
Ah !
Là
Juste un signe
Hallucine
Je sais
Sacrifiés
Les poisons
Nous
Juste un signe
T'illumine
Héroïne
Je sais
Sacrifiés
Les dragons
Non !
Et je m'en vais
Je disparais
Tu veux me voir
Un peu trop tard
Et je m'en vais
Je disparais
Trop tard
Pa-pa-pa-pa-pa
Tu sais
Juste une nuit
A l'abri
Réfléchis
Tu vois
Do cristal
Qui s'étale
Dans tes veines
Eh !
Et je m'en vais
Je disparais
Tu veux me voir
Un peu trop tard
Et je m'en vais
Je disparais
Trop tard
Pa-pa-pa-pa-pa
Pa-pa-pa-pa-pa
Pa-pa-pa-pa-pa
Pa-pa-pa-pa-pa
Pa-pa-pa-pa-pa
Pa-pa-pa-pa-pa
The lyrics to Indochine's song "Crystal Song Telegram" paint a vivid picture of drug addiction and its devastating effects. The singer first addresses someone who is bleeding and hallucinating, possibly from drug use, and implores them to stop. The use of the word "héroïne" (heroine) suggests that the drug in question may be heroin. The singer then reflects on the sacrifice and poisoning that comes with drug use, and acknowledges that dragons (a metaphor for addiction) have been sacrificed as well.
The second half of the song sees the singer announce their departure, implying that they may have been a victim of addiction as well. The repeated phrase "pa-pa-pa-pa-pa" suggests a hasty retreat or disappearance. The lyrics then take a turn towards a more introspective tone as the singer urges someone to reflect and find shelter for the night. The imagery of crystal spreading through veins is likely a reference to both the physical effects of drugs and the allure of addiction.
Overall, "Crystal Song Telegram" delivers a clear message about the dangers and destructive effects of drug addiction. It's a haunting reminder of the toll substance abuse can take on individuals and those close to them.
