Killing Time
Infected Mushroom feat. Perry Farrell Lyrics

(I can kill you)
Close to me
You open the cage and he sets you free
Come to me
(we run away forever from this misery)
Lost my mind
Are you calling me
Killing time that I left behind
Everything changes to a point that it stops and it turns around
I'm always falling down
Killing time that I left behind
Everything changes to a point that it stops and it turns around
It's coming for you now
(So how can it be)
The color of the world had turned dark on me
(Falling free)
Losing my reflection and my clarity
(Talk to me)
I feel the sickness taking over me
(Let me be)
Imagining that you are here with me
Killing time that I left behind
Everything changes to a point that it stops and it turns around
I'm always falling down
Killing time that I left behind
Everything changes to a point that it stops and it turns around
It's coming for you now
The lyrics of "Killing Time" by Infected Mushroom reflect a feeling of being trapped in one's own mind, and struggling to escape from the past. The song highlights the sense of isolation and confusion that a person experiences when they have no control over their own thoughts and feelings. The opening lyrics "In my dreams, (I can kill you)" portray a sense of aggression and anger towards someone who once had control over the singer's life. By expressing that they can only kill this person in their dreams, the singer is acknowledging that they cannot completely escape the past, and that it continues to haunt them.
The lines "Killing time that I left behind, everything changes to a point that it stops and it turns around" reveal the singer's frustration with their inability to let go of their past. The phrase "Killing time" can be interpreted as both trying to make time go faster and trying to eliminate time altogether, indicating the singer's desire to escape the painful memories associated with the past. The final lyrics "It's coming for you now" show the singer's struggle to avoid confronting their past, but ultimately the past catches up with them, forcing them to face it.

This is probably one of the greatest songs I've ever heard, alongside other great gems in my playlist. The emotion in Perry's voice gets me trembling.

i came back to this song after nearly 8 years, not remembering the title or the artist, but just a few verses of the whole song, and since english is not my main languange, I struggled for hours to guess what those verses that I remembered actually meant and here I am back to this masterpiece, the nostalgia hit hard :')

What in the actual fuck? I'm a huge Mushroom fan, and several songs on Black Shawarma are my top 10, but I don't remember this song. It randomly came on my playlist (I've owned the album since it came out) and I was totally entranced. This song is amazing.
