Their popularity in the New Jersey and Philadelphia areas began in the early to mid 70's and continued with varying levels of success thorughout the early 80's. The brother-and-sister ensemble did not reach any significant level of popularity either stateside or overseas, although they remained active in all areas of music making including songwriting, producing and session work. The music they did create was a hybrid of blues, soul, gospel and rhythm and blues. The father of the group members was a minister and the names of the members of the group included at one time or another : Norman, James (Jimi), Barbara, Billy, Timmy, Francis, Edith and Virginia.
