You And I
Ingrid Michaelson(잉그리드 마이클슨) Lyrics

Don't you worry, there my honey
We might not have any money
But we've got our love to pay the bills

Maybe I think you're cute and funny,
Maybe I wanna do what bunnies do with you,
If you know what I mean
Oh, let's get rich and buy our parents
Homes in the South of France
Let's get rich and give everybody nice sweaters
And teach them how to dance
Let's get rich and build our house on a mountain
Making everybody look like ants
From way up there, you and I, you and I

Well you might be a bit confused
And you might be a little bit bruised
But baby how we spoon like no one else
So I will help you read those books
If you will soothe my worried looks
And we will put the lonesome on the shelf

Oh, let's get rich and buy our parents
Homes in the South of France
Let's get rich and give everybody nice sweaters
And teach them how to dance
Let's get rich and build our house on a mountain
Making everybody look like ants
From way up there, you and I, you and I

Oh, let's get rich and buy our parents
Homes in the South of France
Let's get rich and give everybody nice sweaters
And teach them how to dance
Let's get rich and build our house on a mountain

Making everybody look like ants
From way up there, you and I, you and I

Best Tardy

I'm a 15 year old boy and I went to an Ingrid Michaelson concert a couple months back. I held up a sign that "You and I should sing You and I together." When I got in, she pointed to me and said: "I saw your sign from inside my van. God, I hope that doesn't make me a stalker!" Literally the best moment of my life! <3

Please feel free to tell if you still feel the same way. Ingrid is one of the main forces to keep me going. I hope she does the same to you.

I absolutely love this song. The ukulele makes it a sweet and warm feeling and Ingrid makes the song great whith happuness romance, and a little bit of silliness.
