Totalmente só
"vez ou outra" via coisas
Em bancas de jornal
Pensava na gaja, sem motivo
Me deixou
Quando de repente ouvi
Alguém pequeno gritar:
A quem vai ? ( quem vai?)
Perguntei a ela:
"o que fazes aqui ?
Ela me disse faminta:
"tentado te esquecer!"
"não faças teatro, chegue
Perto de mim
Qual tal irmos pr'um boteco
Assar um javali? " (javali)
Adelaide, minha anã paraguaia
Adelaide, minha anã
Adelaide, minha anã paraguaia
Adelaide, minha anã
Digue, miúda, porque
Me tratas assim ?
Se você e geladeira
Eu posso ser o seu pinguim
Dançaremos baixinho lá
No jardim de alá
E ela diz:
"vê se te manca, rapaz
Você é alto demais"(alto demais)
Adelaide, minha anã paraguaia
Adelaide, minha anã
Naquele dia nós brigamos
Você me irritou
Soltaste aquele "pum" no elevador
E todo mundo disse:
"eu acho que foi ela!"
E você se entregou mostrando
Sua mão amarela
Adelaide, minha anã paraguaia
Adelaide, minha anã
Oh, menina! "vê que tu me fez"
Eu te jogo confete, você
Me cospe outra vez
Sim, eu jogo basquete
E sou português
Você não é cláudia raia,
É apenas a minha....
Adelaide, minha anã paraguaia
Adelaide, minha anã
The lyrics to Inimigos Do Rei's song "Adelaide" tell a story of a man walking alone at night, occasionally seeing things in the newspaper stands, thinking about a girl who left him without any reason. Suddenly, he hears a small person calling out for "cola, poetry, candy" and he asks her what she is doing there. She tells him that she is trying to forget someone and he suggests going to a bar and roasting a boar. The chorus repeatedly sings the name of the small person, "Adelaide, my Paraguayan dwarf," while the verses continue with their humorous and fanciful conversation.
The song's main theme is loneliness and companionship. Both the man and Adelaide are alone and searching for someone to help them forget their troubles. They find each other and share a brief moment of friendship, but their differences and arguments ultimately drive them apart.
The lyrics of the song are full of playful rhymes and witty wordplay. The use of colloquial language and slang is a nod to the Brazilian culture and its unique sense of humor. The song's upbeat melody and catchy chorus make it a fun and memorable tune, often played at parties and festivals.
