The song "Black Out" by Initial D is a high-energy track that is as much about speed as it is about the feeling of losing control. The first set of lyrics, "KUURU ni nare, Don't lose control, SHUMIREISHON toori sa, ore wa, ore dake no RUURU de yuku no sa" ("Become cool, don't lose control, go with the suspension, I'm going with my own rule no matter the road"), sets the tone for the entire song. The singer is a racer who is confident in their abilities to navigate any obstacle on the road. The lyrics go on to say, "donna ROJIKKU mo uchikudakeru" ("I can overcome any obstacle"), and this is the kind of attitude that allows the racer to push themselves to the limit.
As the song progresses, the singer experiences a "BLACK OUT," which is a moment of extreme focus and intensity. This is the kind of moment that can only be achieved by someone who is completely in tune with their vehicle and the road. The lyrics, "koori no naka de moeru honoo, togisumasareta iceman's drivin'" ("A flame burning in the midst of ice, the Iceman's sharpened driving skills"), describe this feeling perfectly. The singer knows that they are in a league of their own when it comes to driving, and they are able to channel that energy into their racing.
The chorus repeats the phrase "BLACK OUT" several times, underscoring the feeling of focus and intensity that the singer is experiencing. The lyrics, "furesase wa shinai iceman's drivin'" ("Iceman's driving will not be touched"), further emphasize the singer's confidence in their driving abilities. The song ends with the same lyrics as the beginning, "BLACK OUT BLACK OUT" - suggesting that the intensity of the experience is ongoing and will never end.
Overall, "Black Out" is a song about the thrill of racing and the feeling of being completely in control, even when it seems like you've lost control. It's a celebration of the kind of focus and intensity that can only come from someone who is truly dedicated to their craft.

@Tenaxis
Am I the only one who likes the intro? I think it is very atmospheric and chilling, as if you are stranded alone in a blackout with the only noises being your furious typing and a monotonous AI that tells you how everything is going wrong.
