Faithless
Injected Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Could you be lost
Are you so free, do you long to be
When the sun goes down, do you feel the feeling there's no one near
You know it's such a mystery how you washed up over me
And I couldn't breathe, I couldn't speak, lest I drown

But it's my kind
I'll never be cruel and I'll always play the fool
To be as loveless, as shameless as you.
But I'm so blind
I'll do it again I feel your eyes sink in
So faithless as you've been.

Yes I'm so lost
I am not free but I long to be
When life goes down, do you fell as though you're gonna drown
You're going down (you're going down x5)

But it's my kind
I'll never be cruel and I'll always play the fool
To be as loveless, as shameless as you.
But I'm so blind
I'll do it again I feel your eyes sink in
So faithless as you've been.

Yes I'm so lost
But I'm not free, yes I'm so lost
But I long to be

But it's my kind
I'll never be cruel and I'll always play the fool
To be as loveless, as shameless as you.
But I'm so blind
I'll do it again I feel your eyes sink in

So faithless as you've been
So faithless as you've been

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Injected's song Faithless are about being lost and wanting to be free but feeling trapped in a situation. The singer questions if the person they are talking to feels the same way and if they ever feel like they are drowning when they are alone. The singer then admits to being blinded by the other person's presence, and though they know the other person has been faithless, they are willing to continue to play the fool and be loveless and shameless like them.

The song seems to be about a toxic relationship where the singer is obsessed with the other person and willing to do anything to keep them around, even if it means sacrificing their own happiness. The line "But I'm so blind, I'll do it again" suggests that the singer has done this before and is stuck in a cycle of emotional dependence. The chorus emphasizes this willingness to be loveless and shameless to keep the other person in their life.

Overall, the lyrics portray a sense of desperation and longing for a way out of a suffocating situation, but also a feeling of helplessness and addiction to the other person that keeps the singer trapped.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Danny (the singer) and I (the guitar player with the silver Les Paul in the video) still write some, play together when I'm in Atlanta. I MIGHT be moving back there soon and if I do…you can expect to see a band made up of Danny (again, the lead singer) and I (again, silver Les Paul) with a different rhythm section, under a different band name, but the exact same style as Injected and most of the songs that were going to be Injected's 2nd record.

@GabrielCroft

I hope so man! The second record needs to finally come out. It's been 8 long years now. The world needs this sound back in circulation

@GabrielCroft

@@zachariahshort6546 Oh shit... I didn't even know. That's really unfortunate, obviously a life means more than the life of a band, however I will definitely appreciate this song that much more when it comes on. <3 Thank you for passing that on.

@@GabrielCroft i had contact via facebook with Jade 4 years ago or something and he used to reply fans comments, was still triying to push back the band reunion but months later he died :(

Hi everyone. I'm Jade's dad, Ron. It's now just over 7 years since I lost Jade, the light of my life. There are so many stories about Jade, the private Jade, that I would love to share with all of you, his friends and his fans. He valued you all in his heart of hearts. Jade left us April 6th, 2016. In the preceding months from July through October of 2015 Jade came to stay with me in Kentucky where I moved to from Atlanta in 2011. He came to live with me so he could heal, get away from the drug scene and be with me. He knew that I would never be on his back for the drug addiction, he knew that I would just love him and help him, just be what I always was, his dad. During those months we faced things together and he got through it! We also laughed and cried together. We had our usual deep conversations about life and God. He and I were always as close as any father and son could ever be.
My heart will never heal. He was the light of my life. I miss him constantly and always will. But Jade has left both you and I his music and through it he will live forever. God Bless you all for loving my dear son Jade Uriah Lemons.

I have nothing to say except I’m so very sorry. I can’t offer much but if you ever want to talk I’ll be around.

@LFV_1

I’m so sorry you lost him … an excellent songwriter & musician & by all accounts a really good soul.

@CarianneRHixson

What a lucky son, to try healing him without judgement and open arms. Few get so lucky, and are often shamed and ridiculed, which only worsens the addiction. Many musicians and artists live with such intensity, feeling deeply and experiencing the world on a higher frequency. It can lead the to drug use β€” a mechanism just feel normal and meet societies standards.

He’s free now, and waiting patiently for you with open arms just as you did for him. Thank you for sharing that ❀
